Looking forward to this movie. Norton seems like a great fit for the movie.

Screenings of The Incredible Hulk have started and everything we’ve read this morning has been…

    …positive!

Yes, friends, it looks like someone finally realized what a Hulk movie should be: smashing things.

All of the reviews make mention of the geek-squeal-worthy last scene and one brings up some things that are missing.

I was at the screening yesterday at 84th st and Robert Downey Jr. doesn’t tell Banner he’s forming a team; he tells General Ross.I’ m not usually on the studio’s side when it comes to comic book movies, but this time I totally am. This was everything you want from a Hulk movie. If you’re fan of the Ultimate Hulk, Bruce Jones Hulk run or the 70’s TV show, there’s a bunch of nods in there as well.

Oh and the effects were so good, most of the trailers do a disservice to what it actually looks like.

It should def be badass when Robert Downey Jr and Ed Norton eventually get on the same screen together.

Incredible Hulk director Louis Leterrier made an appearance on G4’s Attack Of The Show to promote his surprisingly well-reviewed superhero flick, when he let this little bomb drop:

“As a filmmaker and as a fan, I like to go see movies and watch them several times, … and every time I see it, discover little things in the background. Did you know that in Iron Man, Captain America’s shield can be found somewhere? Well in Hulk you might see Captain America Himself!”

    Whaaaa?

Does that mean we’re going to see Steve Rogers hanging around the borders of the frame, or is it just a roundabout way of saying we get to see the super-soldier lab?

Early reviews from The Incredible Hulk, though positive, have not mentioned Captain America, leading to speculation that the scene might have been held back from the press screenings, much like the Nick Fury (Sam Jackson) scene at the end of Iron Man was held back from

Latino Review scored a sit-down with Hulk producer Gale Anne Hurd (Armegeddon) and she shot down what little hope we had to see a costumed Cap (even a frozen Cap) in the Hulk or in any of the DVD extras…

LatinoReview: What was Louis talking about when he said Captain America was in the film?

Hurd: He didn’t really mean the character of Captain America, unless there’s something that I don’t know. It’s the serum.

LatinoReview: I felt that there was a presence around the film of Captain America, and not that you actually see him.

    Hurd: Exactly.

LatinoReview: Is Captain America in the frozen tundra? Cause on the trailer we see Banner walking on the tundra and I wanted to know if Captain America was in that scene or not?

Hurd: Captain America was not visible in that scene.

LatinoReview: There was a lot of talk because you do see the Captain America shield in ‘Iron Man’

Hurd: Right. Well we do have the serum. If you look at the movie again you’ll see that the serum is Captain America.

The serum? That makes us feel like we’ve all fallen for a marketing gimmick cooked up by Louis in an attempt to rile the fanboys up. And we don’t like feeling like we’ve fallen for marketing gimmicks.

Ingenius tie in...like it. (although I stated in the "last watched movie" thread that the last screen and lines in Iron Man I thought were silly - "him announcing he was Iron Man and all" - but what do I know.

I loved the fact that he pretty much shot the world the finger with that statement. I do think he should have done it in an Ozzy Ozbourne voice.

I never payed much attention to the Iron Man comic books...so forgive me for asking this question:

In the CB, did Stark announce he was Iron Man? Is that part of the story, or was that out of character and added by the film-makers.

I just like when superhero's hide their alter ego to the world, and only a select few know the secret.

It shocked me is all...I wasnt prepared for it, but really loved the movie.

I now love that these characters are being incorporated and all playing nicely for additional "group collection type" movies.....leading up to the Legion of Doom vs. Justice League of America style movie????

I am not sure either, I quess there is wiggle-room there for the sequel(s), but traditionally a Superhero never even hinted at his true identity to the masses...maybe one on one with a wink, etc...

Again, didnt get into Iron Man as a kid, so didnt know if this was actually part of the Comic Book story line or not.

I wasn't a big iron Man reader either, but in any case I thought it was great. He played such a devil-may-care type character that it made perfect sense to me for him to tell the world.

It was most definitely in the comics. Iron Man is one of the few supes whose real identity is common knowledge.

Thanks...I didnt know that at all.....I agree with opfinistic Starks character and espeically RDJr potrayal certainly had that attititude.

Glad to know he is a unique SuperHero in that regards and therefore the Movie was true to form.

Saw HULK last night. It was a good movie.... very intense. At the end my heart was pumping a million miles an hour. The whole anger intense emotion was captured throughout. Edward Norton was good in it but he just cannot do comedy. There was very very little humour but he just couldn't deliver a couple of jokes. Other than that, good acting. Liv Tyler is hot. Lots of action and fights. When Tony Starks/ Robert Downey Jnr showed up....goosebumps. CGI was great...the detail that goes into the facial expression of hulk was extrodinary. In fact the whole hulk body was very well detailed....it looked so real

OMG, this movie was friggin amazing! There were not alot of funny moments, but the few that were thrown in were great. "You wouldn't like me when I'm...hungry". I loved the jab at the purple pants!

The CGI was awesome. I'm still speechless about the fight scenes between Hulk and Abomination!

wow I did not expect to see the HUlk Smash or the foreshadowing to the creation of The Leader! [IMG]

    Not just that either...
There was the foreshadowing of Doc Sampson too. It was her psychiatrist boyfriend

The movie was pretty good. If Iron Man was 5/5, then Hulk was 3.5/5.

I dunno. I think the movie was just as good if not better than Iron Man. The action scenes in this movie and the CGI were over the top, but in a good way. I thought Iron Man was great, was very humorous, and had great scenes, but I felt there could have been more action. When I saw the fights in this Hulk movie it really put me on the edge of my seat. I absolutely loved Iron Man, but I could not connect with the movie the same way I did with Hulk. Everytime Hulk roared, flexed his muscles you could almost feel the anger within him beating through your own body.
