Mark Cuban, the outspoken billionaire owner of the NBA's Dallas Mavericks, and controversial actor Charlie Sheen could soon be business partners.

Cuban confirmed Sunday evening that he's had several conversations with Sheen recently about developing programming for HDNet, the cable network Cuban owns.

Sheen has captured the nation's fascination with a series of rambling television interviews. "Winning" and "tiger blood" have become buzzwords after Sheen used them while vowing revenge on CBS for firing him from the popular sitcom "Two and a Half Men" due to his personal issues.

Cuban said there have been discussions about Sheen hosting a talk show or starring in a reality show on HDNet, but nothing is certain at this point.

"We're trying to decide," Cuban said. "Right now, we're taping a lot of different things that he's doing and we'll try to figure it out. It's still not 100 percent certain.

"We'll do something together, but it's not certain it will be a show. It'll come down to what he wants do and what his situation is. We'll just figure it out from there, but it's a unique opportunity, I'll say that."

'Two and a Half Men' studio fires Charlie Sheen

"After careful consideration, Warner Bros. Television has terminated Charlie Sheen’s services on "Two and a Half Men" effective immediately," the company announced in a statement.

Sheen told "Access Hollywood's" Billy Bush that he wasn't told of the firing in person, but electronically. "I got a text or something," Sheen said. "Here's another thing -- these guys are such yellow cockroaches that they didn't even have the decency to call me."

The actor blamed his firing not on his recent interviews, but on his bosses. "I guess if you can't process a guy, or realize his value, you must terminate him," Sheen told Bush. He also said that he plans to move forward with legal action against his former bosses for breach of contract.

As for the future of “Two and a Half Men” and whether it will go on without Sheen, a rep for Warner Bros. tells TODAY.com, “No decision has been made about the future of the show.” Sheen had a contract with the show that runs through to the end of the 2012 TV season.

The studio, however, could save money by paying the substitute far less than Sheen's salary and extend the life of the lucrative series by another season or two.

Sheen had been expecting a sympathetic phone call from his Emmy-winning wingman when Sheen first launched his war with show creator Lorre.

"Jon has not called me. He's a turncoat, a traitor, a troll. Clearly he's a troll," said Sheen. "He issued a statement. Is it gonna take me calling him a 'traitor, juvenile and scared' for him to get it?"

Sheen has kinder words for some other cast and crew of the show, specifically citing several who are "not trolls" because they reached out and called him. Most notably "half man" Angus T. Jones, Conchata Ferrell (Berta the housekeeper), Melanie Lynskey (Rose the neighbor), Marin Hinkle (Judith Harper) and show director Jamie Widdoes.

And if Cryer does decide to reach out now?

"What's there to say? I'll tell him 'You're a little late. Goodbye, troll,' " said Sheen. "When I'm starring in multimillion-dollar films and he's begging me for a supporting role I'll say, 'You left me out in the cold with all of your guilt and stupidity.' "

Sheen on ‘Men’: I didn’t like that show anyway

In a statement issued to NBC’s Jeff Rossen, which aired Tuesday morning on TODAY, Sheen seemed to be happy about his recent termination, claiming, “I didn’t like that show anyway or those dumb bowling shirts they made me wear. Now I’m free.”

Public rants and raves aside, Sheen’s biggest reaction to losing his job is bound to be the lawsuit he’s vowed to launch against the-powers-that-be behind “Men.” As for that suit, experts are divided about the embattled actor’s odds.

“If he was doing his job (prior to the hiatus), the studio can’t say, ‘We didn’t think you were ready to do your job because you didn’t submit (to) us a doctor’s note,’” employment lawyer Linda Kenny-Baden told TODAY host Meredith Vieira. “(Sheen) said, ‘I’m ready to go,’ and if I’m his lawyer, I love this.”

But author Steve Adubato disagrees with that angle, instead believing executives should have taken action earlier.

“Look, I have problems with how Warner Bros. and CBS handled this because I felt they should have stepped in sooner,” Adubato explained. “In my mind, what it came down to was the attacks against CBS and Warner Bros. and ultimately, what they decided was (Sheen) looks horrible. He’s presenting himself in a terrible way. That may work in a wacky webcast, or it may work because we have this interest in the way he’s acting right now. But that doesn’t work in a family sitcom, even though he played a character that was a little left of center with his conduct.”

The experts agreed one point. Regardless of which party is in the right, any case between Sheen and former employers is bound to be settled before going to trial.

Duh! Sheen sayings to be slapped on everything

Just think, you might be able to have your own Charlie Sheen "Tiger Blood Machete" by Christmas time. Or perhaps some "Biwinning Bifocals!"

The actor has inked a merchandising and licensing deal with concert behemoth Live Nation that one day may yield a live show, but first will be putting everybody's new favorite sayings — plus a new classic, "Unemployed Winner" — on mugs, T-shirts and anything else you can slap a slogan on, E! News has exclusively learned.

"Being fired has only made him more popular because he is standing up for himself," Joey Scoleri, Live Nation's Senior VP for Tour Marketing & Promotion, tells E! News. "He is a folk hero."

Scoleri, who worked on the deal with the former "Two and a Half Men" star and his management team, says that the line of Sheen merchandise will first be available online — they're hammering out an agreement to get CharlieSheen.com up and running — with the plan being to eventually sell the goodies in stores like Wal-Mart, Target and Hot Topic.

Charlie Sheen gets 74,040 applications for social media internship opening

Internships.com said Wednesday that that's how many people have applied to Sheen's internship position since he posted it Monday. The actor said he would pay someone to help leverage his social media network this summer.

The posting was also a paid advertisement from Internships.com. The application wasn't exactly extensive: It limited applicants to 75 characters or less.

It should come as no surprise to anyone who’s followed Sheen’s recent rants that the actor saved his “best” worst material for Lorre.

"Number 4, hi ya’, Chuck-E-Cheese ball,” Sheen said. “Where ya’ hiding, silly clown? Behind your narcissism, your greed, your hatred of yourself or women? Which personality are you cowering beneath for transparent cover? I see you, you little worm. I see you behind your plastic smile, your *****y pout and your desperate need to be liked — forget love, that ship sailed when you were born, to use one of your stupid and unfunny jokes.”

Sheen was just warming up with that. He went on to slam Lorre for praying “to the silly god of AA” before delivering one long and very personal verbal assault.

“Can you smell your soul? Can you smell the rotting dog s---, the fermented puke that is your viscera? Can you smell the lies? Can you smell the carnage you created? Can you smell the impostor living within? Can you smell your mother's tears from some distant memory, as she scattered her pathetic creation asking all around her why this feeble abortion survived? Can you smell it, Chuck?"

Just in case Lorre or anyone else wonders what all of that might smell like, Sheen inexplicably compared it to malaria before wrapping up his latest "Korner."

L.A. police search Charlie Sheen's home for firearms

TMZ said the search was launched after Sheen threatened to harm himself with a firearm.

Officer Norma Eisenman confirmed the police presence to KNBC.

LAPD officers were making sure Sheen was abiding by a restraining order obtained by ex-wife Brooke Mueller that prohibits him from possessing weapons, Eisenman said.

It has come to LAPD's attention that there are firearms registered in Sheen's name, she said.

If Sheen is found to be in violation of the restraining order, and firearms are found, it's up to the officers on site to decide what happens next, she said.

They could simply remove the firearms or arrest Sheen, Eisenman said.

The search, initiatied around 8 p.m. PT, was expected to be over by 3 a.m. Friday. It would take time because "it's a very big house," she said.
