Take this with a heaping grain of salt, but here's a post from a San Diego message board, which is referencing another Chargers message board (that I couldn't access).

Yes, this is 4th generation hearsay, but it is interesting.

Here is the REAL reason they lost (and it's a true story):

My buddy is a bartender in South Beach. He texted me Saturday night at 6:17 pm EST to say "Dude, like half the Chargers team is in my bar!" At 8:22 he texted me, "You guys are gonna get crushed! Your team is getting hammered! Ha Ha! Go Fins!"

I have these texts in my phone.

So the REAL REASON the Chargers couldn't play was because they were hungover. This brings back memories of Chuck Muncie doing blow off the bar at Monk's. I thought teams had curfews? What the hell is going on with this? I want this investigated! Is this a common occurence? Is this how this Bolts team rolls? Who is the ringleader? Release him/them. These are playboys who think they're so good they can get hammered 12 hours before game time and beat lesser competition. This needs addressing. WHO do they think they are? They are punks.

Don't kill me for sharing this. I was at the game and it was a blast. We killed em fair and square.

Yeah that's bullcrap! I am sure a few of them did, But that's not why they lost. They lost cause they were and are not the better team

    Funny.

Let's make South Beach part of the Homefield Advantage.

Huizenga should be buying our the entire VIP section of B.E.D and Opium on the Saturday night before the game, then having party promoters give free passes (all you can drink, free entry, VIP everything plus limo service) to all the players on the other team. He can give them to the conierge at their hotel to pass on to them, or tuck them under their doors. Even better, have hot chicks delivering them, saying "hope to see you tonight".

    :)

Whether the story about the Chargers is true or not, from now on let's get EVERY team out to South Beach the night before.

It's just an excuse. He's full of ****. He doesn't want to accept that his favorite team was outperformed by a team that he thought sucked.

Hey, whatever it takes (legally) to win the game is fine with me...but I did read a lot of the comments by Bolts fans...the reasons for 'defeat' were split pretty evenly across the boards as 1) Fire Norv Turner...bad play and unimaginative play calling, 2) Fire Ted Cottrell for not having the defense ready to play and poor play calling, and 3) LT, Gates and Merriman being hurt caused the problems...

No mention, that I read of anything the Dolphins team might have done right to deserve the victory...Ahhh, well...that's the way it goes...no respect...but as long as the wins keep coming..that's fine with me...

Well, the dope SuperCharged if he really does know the head of security for the Chargers and did indeed call him, just got him fired even if its not true if someone from the Chargers brass sees the post.

Said the guy was pissed and didn't know anything about it and would check into it? Hello, security is all over these guys when they travel, the fact that he could not come right out and say no chance, means he wasn't doing his job to begin with.

I doubt there is anything to it anyway.

Latest Rumor on the Chargers Loss Yesterday from Fan Board...

LINK: Just saw this over at the SOSD forum..... - The Official San Diego Chargers Forum

Funny how they come up with stories so they can find an excuse for their loss...

I guess some do believe it since they said that their team had this issue last year...

Ive heard that excuse 1000 times when teams come to play us. Maybe 15-20 years ago it happened and cost teams a game, but I think NFL teams are alot more concious of it nowadays. They lost because they were not the better team yesterday, we were.

i heard a rumor that the actual chargers were bound and gagged and the team we saw was actually just a bunch of miami fans taking a fall.

EDIT: that was actually LT out there though, he just blew it

Yea, teams don't have curfews or check-ins at the away hotel anymore. No, no one has accountability.

I heard they were kidnapped by terrorists then had to fight their way out, single handedly saving afghanistan and iraq as they earned their freedom. Being the heroes they are they of course had to play and wouldn't give any excuses for their loss so they rushed home on a plane just in time to play the game.....................

oh and they saved a burning bus full of children on the way to the stadium..........

    and rescued a cat.

edit: and I heard that lt only got hurt because last week he stepped in front of a missile that was aimed at the president.

Dude, they are young guys with money. Lots of them go out before games, be it on the road or at home.

And it's typically the veterans that break curfew and get away with it.

That is a bullseye game for them. That was their focus in the offseason; overcoming New England.

I would not be surprised to see them whip the Pats.
