Merged: Batman - The Dark Knight

Sounds like those Two Face pics are fakes according to a new Eckhart interview.
Eckhart gave a long interview to The LA Times this weekend about his role and the character, promising that "There are fans on the Internet who have done artist's versions of what they think it will look like, and I can tell you this: They're thinking small; Chris [Nolan, Director] is going way farther than people think."
He says that "I can tell you that, basically, when you look at Two-Face, you should get sick to your stomach. Being the guy under all that, well, that was a lot of fun for me. It's like you would feel if you met someone whose face had pretty much been ripped off or burned off with acid."
The character is also undergoing a slight shift - Two-Face in the film is more of a vigilante hunting down the Joker than he is a criminal. Eckhart says (SPOILERS AHEAD) "The difference between Batman and Two-Face is how far they are willing to go and how they make their point... Harvey Dent has an extremely strong sense of justice. His fiancée is killed. He's horribly injured. But he is still true to himself. He's a crime fighter, he's not killing good people. He's not a bad guy, not purely." (END SPOILERS)
The film itself "deals with some fundamental questions of what's going on in society. To me, this film is about how Batman feels about justice, how he takes care of the city, how he feels about the Joker when he meets him and sees what he is capable of doing. How he feels when Harvey Two-Face takes matters into his own hands. It's not simple, and it gets ugly. I think people will be surprised" he says.

****SPOILER**** I'm pretty sure this pic is legit guys, it matches with the image of Dent in the trailer as well as what Eckhart said in the interview, so if you want to be surprised by Two Face, look away. Not for the squeamish btw. I'm posting a link instead of an image cause it's honestly that brutal.

I really hope thats real. Then again I'm horrible at telling fakes from real leaks but if thats real, then damn.
Just saw the pic of Dent ... way more gruesome than the two picks here in this thread. Check out the link above if you want to see ... just make sure there aren't small children around.
I'm having a hard time understanding how this movie is going to come in at a PG-13.

Wow, that looks pretty cool

damn they pulled the pic already. i also read on rotten tomatoes that they were planning on having the Joker in the 3rd movie but decided to take him out completely after Ledger died. Hopefully they replace him with another character.
Silence

It's ******* Golden.
I saved the image before it got pulled. Again, I advise you to use discretion when viewing this pic.

All I know is that the WB has gone crazy trying to get these pictures removed from every site it finds with this picture. I think this pic is he real deal, but TF will be added onto with CGI.
check out the the latest video on this website. It looks like this is the moment where Two Face is introduced to us in the film....

Man, I can't wait. I'm trying to be more of a "the glass is half-full" guy, but I just wish that DC/WB would get their acts together on the other projects like MOS, the WW movie, JLA or JLM whatever it is nowadays, Green Arrow, Aquaman, et al.

First review is up, and it sounds like it wont disappoint. I'm hoping this movie can transcend being a comic book movie and pull more people in. From the sounds of the review it succeeds in doing that.
Here's a quote - "The film feels more like a crime drama in a grand city scape than a typical comic book movie. It feels like Heat except Batman is Al Pacino and The Joker is Robert De Niro and just like in that film we have a great scene between Heath Ledger and Christian Bale across a table. There is also an element of a Greek Tragedy. There is a vast sense of morality at play within the film".

It sounds like they got the Joker perfect. Many I'm even more pumped for this movie after having read this.
Also about Two Face and what's been leaked so far
In terms of his
transition to Two Face all I will say is that everything online that
Ive seen is fake.
Christian Bale owns this role. He is Bruce Wayne and he is Batman. He
is also a third character in some regards as there are almost two
sides to Bruce Wayne.
He's awesome!

I got to see "The Dark Knight" at a screening in Los Angeles on Friday and while I can't officially review the film just yet - lets just say that the hype is right, this is a masterpiece.
It really isn't a comic book movie, this feels more like a great Michael Mann movie - literally a film of "Heat" calibre. The sole common complaint is that's it's a few minutes too long, but the story is so tight that it's difficult to see where you could trim anything out of it.
Kevin Smith has posted a brief reaction to a screening he saw on Saturday on his blog saying that "It’s the “Godfather II” of comic book films and three times more earnest than “Batman Begins” (and ****, was that an earnest film). Easily the most adult comic book film ever made."
Comic book movie being compared to Heat and Godfather 2...I cant wait for this movie.
Also some info in the link about a 3rd movie.

(double checks to make sure I'm in the right thread...)
Read this the other day, I have been hyped for this movie for a good 7 months and these reviews are making the wait so much more difficult. I could see this movie being epic and one for the ages.

omg I can't wait lol
Attack of the Show had a guy on that has seen it. He said it was good, but not flawless. He said it was too long. But this guy said he didn't care all that much for Batman Begins. So he isn't exactly a Batman fanboy. He said hold off on the "Godfather Part II of comic book movie" comparisons for right now.

If he didn't care much for Batman Begins then I do not care much for his review.
Plus I am sure there are people who think Godfather Part II was crap

Those people are clearly morons.
If we can find people who think The Godfather Part II was crap then I'll say the hell with the Supreme Court and support the death penalty. And we can start with those people.
I'm trying my damndest to not be exposed to too much info. I like to go in the theater as fresh as possible. But I just can't resist. We still have just under two weeks and just like football I need stuff to occupy the empty space. So here is IGN.com's review.

June 30, 2008 - It isn't an overstatement to call The Dark Knight the most sophisticated and ambitious work of its kind. Superior to all three Spider-Man installments and even its amazing predecessor in terms of conceptualization, writing, acting, and direction, Nolan's follow-up to Batman Begins is a dark, complex and disturbing film, not the least of which because it grafts its heroics onto the blueprint of actual reality rather than that of spandex-clad supermen. And while such a distinction may make little difference to those already eagerly anticipating the return of the caped crusader, suffice it to say that The Dark Knight qualifies as the first official comic book adaptation that truly succeeds in being a great artistic achievement in its own right.
I only skimmed the rest. They seem to really, really like it.
