I know doesn't look very good after playing alot of less quality opponents this year but I'm now very confident in this team that we can be contending for the AFC East every year!
And Tennessee...guess who will be attending their first Fins game? Yeahp me. Also if this team is for real it can handle that schedule but a regression season isn't out of the question. We will see if Sparano is for real or the next Mangini. I see some other members will be at the Tennessee game maybe I can meet some of you fine people.
I think we can worry about those teams next year. We need to worry about the Ravens right now. They will be here in 5 days and those teams will be here next year.
I think you guys are missing the point. The Patriots play the Ravens and the Broncos. That's basically the equivalent of our schedule since Baltimore-Pittsburgh are just about even and the Broncos are just about as good as the Chargers. This is completely and utterly irrelevant if the team improves over the off-season.
guys its all about winning your division this year we lost both our games (Balt,Hou) that were different than our AFC East partners yes we have a tougher schedule and we might have a worse record but if we take care of business we will win the East again even if it means 10-6 or 9-7
We can hold hands and skip all the way there! Or, you know, use the diamond lane. That might be faster...
Dude... we are ABSOLUTELY going. I am so stoked. holy crap!!! Right on my doorstep, against a team I don't particularly like.
I'll be there with y'all. That'll be my first Fins game. Glad I opted out of the Arizona game this season after all.
Bro we're fans, its not like we sit in the war room and game plan for the Ravens. We arent Mangini, we arent overlooking the Ravens and practicing for the Colts that we might play later in the playoffs or something. We can do and talk about whateva we want!! As long as no TOS rules or regulations are broke....of course
Seems like we have some passing teams on the schedule next year. I'm hopeing the FO is thinking of drafting and tergeting some good DB's for next year. And at least one more stout Guard.
My brother in law is with the Memphis FD so I'm gonna hit him up for some tickets. If I make it down I would love to hook up with some fellow Phin fans.
For sure I believe brandon27 said he would be there and there was one other person a while back who said they would be there.
Looking ahead - 2009 http://myespn.go.com/blogs/afceast/0-4-667/Dolphins--road-gets-rocky-in-2009.html Dolphins at home (dates and times usually announced in April): Buffalo Bills, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, New England Patriots, New Orleans Saints, New York Jets, Steelers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Dolphins on the road: Atlanta Falcons, Bills, Carolina Panthers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Patriots, Jets, Chargers, Tennessee Titans. OUCH!!
Enjoy that first place schedule!!! Jets (H): Buffalo, New England, Miami, Carolina, Atlanta, Bengals, Jaguars & Titans. Jets (A): ", ", ", New Orleans, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, Houston & Oakland. I will be making road trips to New England AND either MIA/TB or NO.
Didnt we play the Raiders like 20 years (OK more like 5) in a row in Oakland? I remember going to a few of those games...
hate to reply to my own post but between 1996 and 08 we played the Raiders 10 times (9 reg season/ 1 playoff). seven of those game were in Oakland.
Wow, that's brutal. At least I get to see Miami come to Ca. I also have a friend who's a Steeler fan and my roommate's a Bucs fan...maybe a trip to Miami can finally get organized...
