Mech Warrior series gets a reboot

Looks great! I loved the previous Mechwarrior games and have been hoping someone would do one with current game tech.

 

I remember playing the first Mech Warrior game back in the day...

Jump in my Locust and get underneath the biggest enemy... ...then take out his legs from below...

Cheap, but effective...

Probably not going to be as effective nowadays...

 

Two things: That Warhammer got it's *** kicked.

...and MechWarrior 4 is soon to be available for free download!!!

The most reasonable time frame for the new release is mid to late August...

 

Well, that didn't work out so well,, but finally Mechwarrior 4: Mercenaries has been released.

But, wouldn't you know it, the huge amount of interest in this free download caused a couple of their servers to go down and as of right now, they haven't gotten them back up fully.

I downloaded it via torrent much faster than their client. Though I need to get it updated.
