I think he should. He was a hell of a player, NFL MVP, and a class act guy. Not to mention one of the toughest QBs ever to play the game. I'm not suggesting they do away with the 5 year rule for retired players to go to the HOF, but I definitely think he should be in the class of 2013. What do you think?
I'm a bit biased because Steve was one of my favorite QB's to ever play the game. I doubt he gets in because he didn't win any rings and didn't break any huge records or anything. If it was up to me, however, I'd put him in because of the toughness he had and passion. I still remember him playing with that sternum injury.
I liked him as a Qb but I don't know if he has the numbers to get into the HoF. To me, if a Randal Cunningham makes it in, eventually Air McNair will as well.
