Not who would win in a fight between the 2, because we all know the answer to that. Scott any day!!

With a 4th round pick and these 2 are on the board and we have to choose between them, who do we take?

Do we grab the guy who will play basically on non passing downs but will be a major force at the line of scrimmage and stuffing the run (Brinkley)? Although I could possibly see him developing into a pass rusher.

Or do we take the smarter but less physically imposing MLB (McKillup) because he can QB our defense for the next 10 years? I think he knows his position better than most DC's in the NFL. LOL. I wish we could have the combination of both!

I dont like McKillup personally. He is undersized and has no athleticism to speak of. I dont think he will make it in the pros.

How would you compare his lack of size and athleticism to Zach Thomas's?
Thanks for the feedback enforcer. That's what I'm looking for. LOL.

I'd take McKellop simply because he can move through the trash and make plays and he reminds me Zach Thomas.

Neither in the 4th if it were me...but between SM and JB...IMHO Brinkley is truly one dimensional and McKillop is not 6-4 but is solid and whilst he does not look tremendously athletic doing it he does not get caught up inside and does get outside the tackles, plays well down the line and plays with enough leverage that he can stack inside. He will never help you in the passing game or chase down guys in the open field but neither will Brinkley...I say McKillop...I like him as a football player but not at 4...........IMHO only............McKillop IMO is the better football player and Brinkley the better athlete....speed aside.

Good stuff. I'd give ya much more than 2cents for that one. LOL. :knucks:

I've been leaning toward McKillup on this debate (that's been in my head), but I wasn't sure after you factor in who would better complement Channing.

Say we can only take an MLB from 4-5. Anyone better? I like Ellerbe considering he played all season hurt, but will he really be there late 3rd?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but McGrath is too small to pair with Crowder, no?

We all have opinions personally I am not real sold on the ILB position this year...Ellerbe ould be a guy that would get interest....maybe Phillips if he were there...doubt it.......McGrath I think is not that high on and is a bit light..maybe Mauga although I think that spot would be high for him, ...I am just not real high on the mid round guys at the ILB spot......I like the depth in the OL/WR and DB better.............

Good call....so if McKillup is on the board, do you go DB/WR who might have more talent?

I like Scott McKillop (gotta spell his name right)....he was a tackling machine at Pitt and I think he can be a lot like Zach Thomas.....I would definitely take him if he is there in the 4th. I think he will go in the middle of the third.

Personally I do not think McKillop has near the short area burst that Zach Thomas had...Zach lasted till 5 because he was what 5'4 in high heels? McKillop is more an effort and technique guy with good leverage but not near the short area burst to the ball ....nothing wrong with that...just not Zach Thomas........as for Dolphin comparisons...his game he reminds me of Kelvin Smith with more talent......a football player with good technique, leverage and some limitations physically..........JMHO anyway............
