McFadden briefly detained after bar scuffle http://msn.foxsports.com/cfb/story/7659740 Heisman Trophy runner-up Darren McFadden was handcuffed by police and then released without charges after being involved in a "pretty rowdy scene" at a piano bar early Thursday.
Was just about to post this in the Draft forum (saying it hurt his stock to make it on-topic ) http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/football/ncaa/01/10/mcfadden.fight.ap/index.html Further in the article you can see the mother explaining that he was just rowdy because his little brother was jumped. And that he was not involved in the fighting. Whether true or not, you know what she was thinking. Hmm ..
He's had his history with bar fights. I beleive he injured his big toe once upon a time in a bar fight.
Arkanasas running back Darren McFadden, who likely will be one of the top picks in the 2008 draft, was handcuffed early Thursday after an incident at a piano bar in Little Rock, Arkansas. (Piano bar? What's next for McFadden, heated pants?) McFadden was allegedly involved in a "pretty rowdy scene" outside of said piano bar. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/22592227
McFadden’s mother, Mini Muhammad, said her son was trying to protect his younger brother, Daryl. “He wasn’t the one that was fighting. It was his little brother — someone had jumped on him,” Muhammad said. “He was agitated because his brother had a bloody nose.” “Darren was not fighting — please make that be known,” she added. Okay Mom, the cops only had to handcuff him because he was out of control, don't worry, you will still get his money. Don't worry about selling out on Darren.
I was there, somebody at the bar was telling him that come April he would be wearing a Jet uniform, he just lost it!
i think its more long the lines of..."please know hat Darren wasn't fighting...Darren's a good boy, its my other son who sucks...lets make no mistakes about this...darren was not fighting."
Oh man thats epic!! I wonder if this will really hurt him? He seems to be a big enough talent that teams may look the other way. I cant wait for the first "Lets draft McFadden at #32" thread.
I hope it does not hurt him. He is one of the 3 players that Teams might want to trade up for. ...Chris Long...Glenn Dorsey...Darren McFadden.
