Not sure what this kid did not to make it in the NFL but he is tearing up the Arena Football league. Was pretty decent at Nebraska and would be a cheap project to bring in for camp. No risk, no reward.
More info if possible? Position, age, any link to his arena league stats? I could probably find this all out on my own but you'd be saving a lot of people some time and make them more likely to respond.
Purify was on the Bengals roster for a stretch - maybe in 2009 I think. Never saw time at receiver for them, but he was decent on special teams - when active.
Sorry, have no links other then my neighbor goes to every Rattlers game and all I hear is this kids name. I do follow Nebraska football and remember him doing pretty good up there but lost him after his time was done. Thanks for the Bengals info. I have no links but apparently , again, from my neighbor, the kid is tearing it up and awaiting a chance for the NFL. Hey, could it hurt to try him out ? If he is as good as I hear I am sure he will have more then a few try outs, may as well be the first.
It may be fine to try him out, but really we have a bunch of these types a WR...guys who have not proven themselves, but have looked good at other venues, be that the AFL or college or even as #4's and #5's on an NFL roster... Cunningham, Fuller, Moore, Wallace, Pruitt, Nanee, Gates, Mathews, Moye.... I don't mind adding more bodies, but when is enough, enough ??
Understand but have any of them caught 7 TDs in one game ? Found a recent link on the guy. http://www.azcentral.com/sports/rat...avila-record-tds-rattlers-win-utah-blaze.html
Didn't Purify get in trouble at Nebraska then in the NFL Assault, resisting arrest,DUI while on probation, arrested for disorderly conduct and Suspended while with the Bengals? Not sure we want to go down that road with HIM
