Yeah, and you can keep on celebrating, defending, and excusing mediocre to piss poor QB talent for another 5 years. You've got plenty of practice.
I can't honestly say Matt Moore has gotten a fair chance in the NFL yet. He's started about 13 games and has gone 7-6 in those games. He was injured most of 2010 and much of the reason the Panthers were so bad last year was Jimmy Clausen and John Fox not giving a crap. As you can see, he's doing a GREAT job in Denver...NOT! If the Dolphins can give him some help with a decent running game and effective play-action, he'll score some points. The Miami offense is sadly less talented than the Panthers offense was, even in 2010, so I'm not expecting much. But Moore is a gamer and will at least have the Dolphins in the game with a chance to win.
Well, I took a look at MM's numbers on Football reference: http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/MoorMa01.htm Here is what stood out to me about his 2010 season: 5 games started, 13 sacks (!), 4 fumbles and 10 int's, completely out of line with his career averages, which tells me he was under heavy, constant pressure. YPA: 6.0, his prior totals were 6.6 and 7.6, that tells me...he was dumping the ball off a lot His long was 39 yds, previously it was 57 and 66..you can tell Steve Smith was out Interestingly enough, he has 3 GW drives in his career, in 13 starts or so. Going to be interesting when we play the Jest, they will blitz him heavily, in 2010 he was not as effective when pressured, though to get a real feel for how he played you need to access PFF, I'd love to know his completion percentage when blitzed and 3rd down conversion rates just to get a feel for his game.
