Actress and pop star Hailee Steinfeld is being eyed to play Kate Bishop in the Hawkeye series, and presumably for some time after that in the MCU. She's an interesting choice, but not one that I'm opposed to.

She was incredible in the True Grit remake. Was actually the best part of that movie. So she has chops.
As long as the movie arm of the MCU is involved with the decision, then I’m a 100% confident. The TV arm has only one casting error on their resume (Iron Fist) so it’s not like they have a bad track record either.

The agreement also calls for him to be in exactly one other Marvel movie as well. That's lead some to speculate that he'll be written out of the MCU at that point.
Unlucky 13subscriberSo apparently, while Tom Holland will be playing Spiderman in both the MCU and Sony, they may not be the same character going forward. Rather, what happens in the MCU universe won't effect what happens in the Sony universe, and vice versa. Which is....so petty and stupid. But at least knowing that, I don't have to waste my time seeing the Sony movies. :confused2:
Unlucky 13subscriberBrie Larsen says that she and other women starring in MCU movies have made it clear to Kevin Feige that they are very interested in making an all-female team up movie, if he can make it happen.
Not linked in that article, I saw yesterday where Fiege says that Ant Man 3 isn't in preproduction, but can still definately happen at some point. Here's hoping that they do!

Looks like they're planning on releasing up to four MCU movies a year in the near future, in addition to the Disney+ TV projects. There will only be two in 2020 - Black Widow and The Eternals. But 2021 is slated to have four - Shang Chi, Dr Strange, Spiderman, and Thor, and it looks like that should be the model from that point forward. I'm pumped!

I love the series and its part in the MCU, and I'm delighted that they're giving them a third movie, where they'll likely both wrap up some very loose ends, and set things in motion that can also continue in the greater MCU.
Unlucky 13subscriberMichael Douglas confirms that he's returning for Ant Man 3, and that it will shoot in 2021. You would think that they'll likely tie up the story for Hank and Janet in this one.
I'm curious to see what if any kind of connections they'll have with Wanda and Vision, with Randal Park playing Agent Woo in their series in some capacity. It would be cool for him to even have a few lines that connect the two franchises.

Also, not surprisingly, watching these shows is pretty much required if you want to keep up to date on what's happening in the forthcoming movies, with the shows being canon and characters having important developments in between films.
He declines to discuss the budget for the shows—including reports Disney is spending as much as $25 million per episode on some Marvel shows, more than HBO is believed to have spent during the final season of Game of Thrones. He does drop one little morsel, though. If you want to understand everything in future Marvel movies, he says, you’ll probably need a Disney+ subscription, because events from the new shows will factor into forthcoming films such as Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The Scarlet Witch will be a key character in that movie, and Feige points out that the Loki series will tie in, too. “I’m not sure we’ve actually acknowledged that before,” he says. “But it does.”

I've been waiting to see if Comcast is nice enough to give it to my family free, like they do Netflix. Failing that, I'm going to see if my TVs get an update with the app before we commit.

let us know if comcast does. I'm pretty close to canceling Direct TV in favor of comcast. never use direct TV (<10% TV time). not worth it just for Sunday Ticket anymore

I've pretty much decided to part ways with Comcast (even though I've only had them for 13 months) when I'm able to. My local power company is bringing gigbit fiber to all of their customers over the next five years. Once that's an option, we're just going to go without cable and do the streaming stuff. Other than live sports and local news, that's mostly what we do already.

yeah, our local town power company is doing that too. but bastards did half the town two years ago and have yet to push to cover my part of the town.

Unlucky 13subscriberMarvel boss Kevin Feige has confirmed that characters who are being developed for an introduced on Disney+ shows will eventually make their way onto the big screen in MCU films as well, including Moon Knight, Ms. Marvel and She Hulk. He goes into how the films and shows will be fluid, and all part of the same continunity, so characters will show up in both formats, back and forth.
For me, this is very exciting! Its what I had hoped that Agents of Shield would be originally. Given Disney's resources and the fact that Feige is now in control of all of it, they can afford to have any of the actors show up whenever they feel like it, and maintain the high production values throughout.

Surprisingly, I think the last Dr. Strange is one of my favorite Marvel movies ever. Very excited for a sequel!

This is unexpected and interesting, but apparently Marvel is in the early stages of creating a Thunderbolts project for the MCU. That's both a very plausible and fun way to get Deadpool into the picture.

May 1, 2020 - Black Widow
November 6, 2020 - The Eternals
February 12, 2021 - Shang Chi and the Legend of the 12 Rings
May 7, 2021 - Dr Strange and the Multiverse of Madness
July 16, 2021 - Spiderman 3
November 5, 2021 - Thor: Love and Thunder

June 6, 2022 - Black Panther 2
July 29, 2022 - unknown, but thought to be Ant Man 3

Known movies in pre production without release dates are Blade, Guardians of the Galaxy 3, Captain Marvel 2, and likely a Fantastic Four movie. So those are likely four of the six unknown dates. My personal guess is that the May 5, 2023 will be an Avengers movie, since that's when they usually come out, and the timing would be right.

I read that and had to check because I thought they were changing the history of the 10 Rings.

The release date for Wandavision has been moved up from 2021 to 2020 on Disney+. No date yet, but I would assume the Autumn or early Winter.

I just read an article that said that Scott Derickson, the director of the first Dr Strange and the one that just quit the second project, was known mostly for horror. They suggested that he likely was pushing the project too far in that direction, and Marvel said that it wasn't going to work. If that's the case, then I'm very much in favor of it. While I LOVE the MCU, I hate horror, and was already worried about the movie. If its being reeled back in to something closer to the first one, then I'm totally happy.
I've never had any interest whatsoever in the Daredevil character, but if he's introduced to the MCU, then I'll watch.
