    https://geektyrant.com/news/moon-kn...firmed-to-eventually-appear-on-the-big-screen

Marvel boss Kevin Feige has confirmed that characters who are being developed for an introduced on Disney+ shows will eventually make their way onto the big screen in MCU films as well, including Moon Knight, Ms. Marvel and She Hulk. He goes into how the films and shows will be fluid, and all part of the same continunity, so characters will show up in both formats, back and forth.

For me, this is very exciting! Its what I had hoped that Agents of Shield would be originally. Given Disney's resources and the fact that Feige is now in control of all of it, they can afford to have any of the actors show up whenever they feel like it, and maintain the high production values throughout.

Surprisingly, I think the last Dr. Strange is one of my favorite Marvel movies ever. Very excited for a sequel!

    https://geektyrant.com/news/disney-announced-five-new-marvel-movie-release-dates-through-2023

Marvel has put five more MCU movie release dates up on their calendar. Here's what we know, what is suspected, and what is a mystery for now.

    May 1, 2020 - Black Widow
    November 6, 2020 - The Eternals
February 12, 2021 - Shang Chi and the Legend of the 12 Rings
May 7, 2021 - Dr Strange and the Multiverse of Madness
    July 16, 2021 - Spiderman 3
November 5, 2021 - Thor: Love and Thunder
    February 18, 2022 - unknown
    June 6, 2022 - Black Panther 2
July 29, 2022 - unknown, but thought to be Ant Man 3
    October 7, 2022 - unknown
    February 17, 2023 - unknown
    May 5, 2023 - unknown
    July 28, 2023 - unknown
    November 3, 2023 - unknown

Known movies in pre production without release dates are Blade, Guardians of the Galaxy 3, Captain Marvel 2, and likely a Fantastic Four movie. So those are likely four of the six unknown dates. My personal guess is that the May 5, 2023 will be an Avengers movie, since that's when they usually come out, and the timing would be right.

Not that it matters, but this:
February 12, 2021 - Shang Chi and the Legend of the 12 Rings

    Should be:
February 12, 2021 - Shang Chi and the Legend of the 10 Rings

I read that and had to check because I thought they were changing the history of the 10 Rings.

    Some rumors......

They are considering introducing old school Defenders with Namor finally being introduced.

    Daredevil will be rebooted.

Director for Dr. STRANGE 2 HAS quit due to "creative differences" this was the same.director for the 1st Dr STRANGE which was great. Hope the suits didn't try to take over the movie. I'm very worried

I just read an article that said that Scott Derickson, the director of the first Dr Strange and the one that just quit the second project, was known mostly for horror. They suggested that he likely was pushing the project too far in that direction, and Marvel said that it wasn't going to work. If that's the case, then I'm very much in favor of it. While I LOVE the MCU, I hate horror, and was already worried about the movie. If its being reeled back in to something closer to the first one, then I'm totally happy.

I've never had any interest whatsoever in the Daredevil character, but if he's introduced to the MCU, then I'll watch.

Don't know about the horror but I agree with you about daredevil. Comic bookwise I was never interested but if the MCU brings him in I'll watch. I actually thought the tv show was good. The movie however was one of the worst ever

    https://mcuexchange.com/hawkeye-series-delayed/

    https://screenrant.com/hawkeye-show-delay-disney-plus-indefinitely-rumor/

The Hawkeye series has been delayed indefinately. I'm sad, because this was certainly one of the projects that I'm the most interested in. I have to worry if this might end up meaning the end for Jeremy Renner in the MCU. He just turned 49, and has expressed hesitation at being able to play a superhero forever.

On the flipside, the Wandavision project has been moved up an entire year, so we'll be getting that one sooner. That likely has ties to the split with Scott Derickson and the Multiverse of Madness. At this point, I trust in Marvel to get it right and make it work.

Going back to the Defenders possibility. If they go that route the lineup is probably Hulk, Dr. Strange, Valkrye, Namor, and Silver Surfer so it's possible Silver Surfer is introduced in the Defenders instead of the Fantastic Four.

Also what's cool with Defenders is tons of people who show up for a few comics.

The Beast, Human Torch, Hellstrom, Iceman, Ghost Rider, Nighthawk and Luke Cage are just a few

I'm okay with that. not sure I was enthusiastic about the Hawkeye series. he's a supporting character.
    Wandavision has more potential

    https://screenrant.com/falcon-winter-soldier-disney-plus-release-moves-august/

With Wandavision being moved to the Autumn of 2020 (up from the Spring in 2021), Falcon and the Winter Soldier has also been moved up, in their case from Autumn to August.

For me personally, this is probably when I'll start my Disney+ subscription.

EDIT: There are also now a lot of rumors that many of the shows have been picked up for a second season, including those that haven't been filmed yet, so it looks like this is a long term part of the MCU, and not just a bunch of fun miniseries.

The amount of stuff on tap is crazy. Something is bound to be a dud. I’m just hoping it’s not Moon Knight.

The best thing about the MCU, and what separates it from almost everything else that's ever been done before with the genre, is that they have some very smart people at the very top of the pecking order who have complete editorial oversight of the entire operation, and just as importantly, care deeply about the source material and have a great idea of the pulse of the fan community and what will work and what won't. The outline for projects are planned out many years in advance, they know how everything is supposed to fit together in the big picture, and then the writers and directors are hired to flesh it all out and make it work. And so by keeping close tabs on everything, and not letting any one person turn a given project into his or her artistic vision that goes sideways, the odds of disaster are much lower. I have loved reading that this or that director talked to Marvel and walked away frustrated because they wouldn't let them make the movie that they wanted, because it means that what will get made is a MCU movie, and therefore something that I'm going to enjoy not just as I see it in the cinema, but twenty years from now too.

There have been a lot of rumors and expectations for a while, but it looks like Mark Ruffalo has now officially signed on to be a part of the She Hulk series on Disney+. How big of a role he has is unknown, but he's been saying a lot lately about wanting to remain with Marvel and continue playing the Hulk.

I'm ambivilant either way. Just don't care about the character and think he's dull.

In other Marvel news, they've pulled Black Widow from the release calendar, to no one's surprise. Although given that its probably out of the timeline with the rest of the MCU, it being delayed matters a lot less than just about anything else would. I'm betting they're now regretting pushing up the release of the Disney+ shows like they did. They might need to push them back again due to production delays.

There had been some rumors floating around that the Black Widow movie might go straight to a digital release like other Disney movies have and will be, with cinemas likely shut down for some time. But they have now insisted that it will be a theatre release first, at some point.

In related news, it seems like both of the Disney+ MCU series that had been pushed up for a release this Autumn may now be pushed back again, due to filming not being complete.

I think that they definately wanted a name actress for the most prominant female role in the early parts of the MCU.

I agree. Just think that was a mistake. 23 movies and I still don't believe she is Russian.

Having Black Widow as the most predominate female role in the MCU really highlights that outside X-Men, there are not a lot of good female superheros in Marvel.

No surprise, all of the upcoming MCU movies have been pushed back. No word on the Disney+ shows yet, but I would have to guess that they will be also. Assuming that Falcon and Winter Soldier doesn't premier in August, we're going to go about a year and a half between MCU premiers, which will be the longest since the gap between Iron Man and the Hulk came out in the summer of 2008, and Iron Man 2 came out in the summer of 2010.

haven't read much about Eternals even though I'm looking forward to it. looking at the cast, will be interesting how it turns out. Jolie and Harrington are good, but can't imagine much humor coming from them. Kumail Nanjiani could carry the load for comic relief in the movie. Not sure about Salma Hayek as the leader - love her to death, but we'll see how she does in that role

The only things I've seen Harrington in are the last two How to Train Your Dragon movies, when he was a supporting voice actor. But I'm now at the point where I trust Marvel to use most of the actors in a way that does a really good job, even if some of them are limited. A lot of times, they'll have someone be a great "straight man/woman" to another actor who's more naturally comically gifted.

It makes a lot of sense, but that movie is likely not coming until 2024 at the earliest, so a lot can obviously still change between now and then. There's been suggestions that they could be teased in the next Spiderman movie, and we'll probably learn more by the end of 2021.
