Tom Hardy will play VENOM!!!!!!!!!
It is due out October 5, 2018 and it will be directed by the same guy that did Zombieland.
This is ****ing incredible.
Still going to suck

I don't understand the whole Sony/Marvel deal. Is Sony setting up their own Spiderverse alongside the MCU?
Can Marvel us the other Spidey villains in MCU movies?
And also, what the hell is a Venom movie going to be about without Spider-Man?

Its a great question! Sony basically has loaned Spiderman himself to the MCU as a supporting character in a set number of films. All of the other characters in the Spiderman comics can apparently come along for the ride.....except Venom, who Sony controls. He's seemingly their one little island of total control left.

Gwenneth Paltrow will reprise her role as Pepper Potts in Spiderman Homecoming. It had been unclear if she would return to the MCU. I wonder if this is just to technically finish out her contract obligation.
Also, Jennifer Connelly will be in the movie, but not seemingly as the same character that she played in The Hulk.
Good to have Pepper Potts back. Connelly can't be Betty Ross because Liv Tyler played that role in the MCU Hulk movie.

It is possible in lego form.
Or maybe they can pull a Tekken Streetfighter and do a switch with Marvel vs Capcom and DC Injustice.

nothing crazy.
There hasn’t been a proper crossover between Marvel and DC Comics since 2003-2004’s JLA/Avengers, but the rival publishers were able to find common ground this week — on social media, at least, thanks to the #MakeMineMilkshake hashtag that aims to stand up to online trolls.

Even after reading the story linked above I am not sure why the phrase "Make Mine Milkshake" makes sense.

Some big info from James Gunn.
"One of the things I'm doing with creating Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3: It will take place after the next two Avengers movies, and it will help to set up the next ten, twenty, years of Marvel movies. It's going to really expand the cosmic universe. We're going to be setting up new characters; it will be the last movie of this version of Guardians of the Galaxy."
"We talk about it all the time. It’s already a part of what I’m doing with Marvel and the conversations that Kevin and I have every day. When we’re talking about Guardians of the Galaxy 3, and that story, that’s a story that will lead to other stories. It’s innate to the DNA that that’s the end of a trilogy but it’s the beginning of a whole other element of the Marvel Cosmic universe. That’s a part of what I’m doing now."
As much as anything, I love that Marvel has this huge plan for everything, and they're following through with it. Make it happen!

Too bad they can't get back the Fantastic Four franchise (and do it right). THey were always cosmic players in the comic books.

The one thing that I would really have liked to have seen Galactus as the villain in a FF movie..shame they blew it.

It doesn't. It's a chick thing...

no kidding. Showing the "dark cloud" in the sky that was the presence of Galactus was so incredibly lame. Like Ben-Affleck as daredevil lame. felt like they ran out of money. that sequel was so bad.

Thor: Ragnarok (2017)
Black Panther (2018)
Avengers: Infinity War (2018)
Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018)
Captain Marvel (2019)
Untitled Avengers film (2019)
Untitled Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel (2019)
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (TBA)
I mean, look at that lineup. I can't wait for every single one, with the possible exception of Spiderman (still haven't seen the most recent one). Honestly, about 75% of my limited trips to the cinema are MCU movies.
Just waiting on Tom Cruise to buy the rights, cast himself, and become Namor, Guardian, Ka-Zor, Captain Britain, or Moon Knight.
Oh, it's gonna happen. :shifty:

I can't wait for the Homecoming sequel. The last movie was the closest actual comic book Spider-Man ever.

I think Tom Cruise could pull off crazy millionaire who may not be crazy.
Without being a super hero, Tom Cruise is pretty much Moon Knight in real life.

Yeah but not all crazy is the same. Tom Cruise has his own special brand of crazy....(Cruisey if you will). I think he'd have been a pretty good as a comic accurate Hank Pym or even go vilian and be an reallllllly good Mystery (Or Clayface in DC)
