    Well away from here
The problem with Johnson going back to his days with my Yankees has been injuries. The guy can hit pretty well and is a fine defensive player. It does remain to be seen how much his injuries will affect his production.

Yea, he's injury prone. But, when he's healthy, he can bat. He gets on base at a .400 clip, and he plays good defense. Excellent move.

Well as of now he isn't injured, and we just need him to stay healthy for these last two months of the season. So hopefully he can do that.

Best part is we didn't give up much to get him. Just a highly underachieving prospect.

I certainly would pay him more than what he is currently making. His defense is fine, and he can hit pretty well, but the injury thing will always be a question. When he was healthy and playing for the Yankees as a DH/1B for Giambi, he did very well. When he was traded as part of the deal for a pitcher from the Expos (can't remember his name) I was sad to see him go.

Even more than looking at what type of player he is, I think you have to look at how much of an improvement he is for this team. We're 5 games over without him, with Bonifacio who has been a black hole on offense much of the year. This just makes the lineup so much better.
