Everyone in America has to have a DS by now right? Are people starting to buy one for in their car too, is that how it keeps at #1 so much?

And finally Wii Play isn't in the top 10.

 

Way to go God of War III

 

With God of Wat 3 and the Majority sales of FF13, the 360 still out sells the PS3. How is that even possible?

 

FFXIII on PS3 nearly doubled the 360 sales. I believe it was Mor who was arguing with me a while back that that wouldn't happen. So I'm going to go ahead and pat myself on the back and say I told you so.

Good to see God of War 3 on top. That might be the strongest month PS3 has ever had with software.

 

They were close, I wonder if that problem they had with the old consoles hurt them.

 

There's supposedly been a shortage of PS3's and Wii's recently, so perhaps hat played a part?

Then it's an epic fail on Sony's part for not putting enough product on the shelves to outsell their rivals in their strongest software line up to date.

 

In actuality, FF13 outsold everything else this month. Combine the sales figures from both platforms and you get 1,321,000.

The real top sellers, adjusted for reality:

1. Final Fantasy XIII - 1,321,000
2. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 - 1,276,000
3. God of War III - 1,100,000
4. Pokemon SoulSilver - 1,020,000
5. Pokemon HeartGold - 761,000
6. New Super Mario Bros. Wii - 457,000
7. Wii Fit Plus - 429,000
8. MLB 10: The Show - 349,000

Sony sold the most games, too: 2,728,000. Great month for Sony sales on the whole, even though their hardware finished last.

 

well if you're gonna do that, shouldn't pokemon just be #1 with 1,781,000?

Or is Lugia vs. Ho-oh that important...

 

Not at gamestop however. Not one store in my district ever has them. We get about 3-6 a month per store. (for both systems)

And they're gone as soon as they come in shipment.

They're sold as different titles. That's different from multi-platform versions of the same game.

 

both. We always have stacks of elites though. Never any wiis or ps3s.
