While the tape of the Dolphins' well-balanced 19-14 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Saturday night contains mostly positive moments, the keen eyes of coach Tony Sparano, General Manager Jeff Ireland and Vice President of Football Operations Bill Parcells will certainly notice small mistakes made by fringe players that could spell the difference between a hefty paycheck or the unemployment line. http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/story/10936784
they all should be feeling the heat, dont want any player being too relaxed. they should all be playing for their jobs.
I know that I am anxious. I am probably more nervous than Davone Bess. Going to be a sleepless time for me til the final roster is out.
Really? Man I wouldnt single ANYBODY off that list cept for maybe....well, Pennington, Samson, V-Carey and Jake Long...and yeah Ginn...
75% chance, oh Aqua your killing me here. I'm telling you man, I am not going to sleep til he makes it on the final roster.
Great post. I agree on your categories. Seeing as how Bess is one of the few WRs who has been consistently catching, it would be hard to keep him off the 53. I don't care how much they paid Wilford. If he can't catch a ball, he's got no business playing NFL WR this season. Whomever the Saints or Giants cut might be better than him
I think Bess is definatley on the team...and the active roster. Having a quick, smart route runner like him is WAY to important for a young team like this...you dont just not keep a guy who could be your Wes Welker...
Wouldnt mind seeing Armstrong at least make the practice squad...kid looked pretty good when he was in there.... As well...I really like Boomer....I hope he makes the cut over Reaghan..
Here is my prediction for the final 53 QB Chad Pennington Chad Henne Josh McCown RB Ricky Williams Ronnie Brown Patrick Cobbs FB Boomer Grigsby WR Ted Ginn Derek Hagan Davone Bess Ernest Wilford David Kircus TE Anthony Fasano Sean Ryan David Martin Tackle Jake Long Vernon Carey Ike Ndukwe Trey Darilek Daren Heerspink Guard Justin Smiley Donald Thomas Shawn Murphy Matt Spanos Center Samson Satele Defensive End Kendall Langford Vonnie Holliday Randy Starks Phillip Merling Defensive Tackle Jason Ferguson Rod Wright Paul Soliai Outside Linebacker Joey Porter Charlie Anderson Reggie Torbor Matt Roth Quentin Moses Inside Linebacker Akin Ayodele Channing Crowder Edmond Miles Defensive Back Andre Goodman Michael Lehan Will Allen Jason Allen Yeremiah Bell Travis Daniels Keith Davis Renaldo Hill Nathan Jones Chris Crocker Kicker Dan Carpenter Punter Brandon Fields LS John Denhey Thats my prediction for the final 53 and now for my practice squad prediction. Practice Squad Joey Thomas Jalen Parmalee Lionel Dotson Rob Ninkovich Lex Hilliard Anthony Armstrong Anthony Torbio Kelly Poppinga These guys are goners in my opinion. John Beck Reagan Mauia Justin Peelle Greg Camarillo Chris Roberson Courtney Brown Matthew Mulligan Mike Byrne Jayson Foster Maurice Fountain Junior Glymph Titus Brown Will Billingsley
I think we will keep 4 running backs for sure and i think camarillo could very well make it over kircus. Also, im not so sure we'll keep 10 DB's. Besides those things i think youre fairly close to what the roster will look like.
