Went back and rewatched the game and focused in Fullback Lou Polite and what I found is when we run the ball well, out of the WC or out of the conventional two back set, Lou Polite is one of the keys to the offense. -had 17 made blocks were he turned the linebacker out of the play. -missed 4 blocks, 1 was on Ronnie who misread Polite's block -picked up 2 first downs on 3rd and short Colts ILB and Polite were meeting in the hole for most of the evening: And the Colts were keying on Polite at 4:10 in the first qtr Ricky W picked up a first down via play design, Polite ran wide towards the sidelines presumably to seal the corner, the defense tried to beat him to the corner and RW simply turned it inside and picked up the first down. And Polite is also the offset back in our typical wildcat formation and he did not miss a single block in the WC formation he hit his man and turned him out on every WC play he was involved in. Joey Haynos on the other hand...not so great, he typically is a interference blocker on Db's, I've yet to see him take his man to the ground while blocking in space.
