Awesome episode, cant wait for the finale. Been a good night watched Iron Man then came home to this.
Great great episode I know we have talked about this before but who are the #7 and #8 survivor that did not make it????
worst part about tonights episode was finding out we have to wait two weeks until the next (and final) episode of the season... I thought we got another show next week... booo... anyway, great episode... predictions on the ship with the explosives... Ben (or John) blows up the ship from the island before it gets too close to destroy the island itself. I reckon that is what happened to Jin. Sun manages to get off the ship somehow. Makes me think Desmond doesn't make it off either, which would really suck because I like his character. And of course, I don't think Michael makes it off either. Looks like Sawyer (from the preview) dies on the chopper... I'm not going to enjoy that when it happens, although he hasn't been a big part of the storyline this season. What a dramatic scene that was, with Jack being told about Claire by Claire's mother. That one made me gasp... do you think he told Kate? Can't imagine why he wouldn't. Would like to know who Ben was communicating with when he was using the mirror as morse code as nobody on his side was near the orchid. Can't wait for the finale... trying to piece together how each of them get off the island and are rescued... as seemingly they are all in different parts... Jack is at the chopper... Hurley is with John and Ben... Kate is with Sayid and the OTHERS... Sun and the baby are on the ship...
I hope your not suggesting that Sawyer, Jin, Desmond, and Michael will all die in the finale. I would say one of them at most. Good episode, nice lead in to the real finale. I really thought Sun was gonna jump off the boat after she came out of the cabin was walking out on the deck of the boat. Great to see Richard again!!!
I'm gonna say one of them is Sawyer because someone had to knock Kate up because everyone (in the real world) knows that before the plane crashed she was not pregnant, so I believe their story is that someone knocked her up during her survival period (which in real time is something like 3 years I think). So I guess they'll make Sawyer or Charlie as the father.
Did I miss something? Last night during the "press conference" they said they were stranded for about 100 days and that Kate was 6 months pregnant when she got on the plane.
That was my first thought as well. We know they ended up catching Kate and Sayid and Kate had picked up the wrong trail and was not following Jack and Sawyer.
Could be, if I was Ben and knew how important the Orchid was I would want my people close to defend it if need be.
I agree, I think Ben had some of his people watching the Orchid, he 'always has a plan,' remember? haha. and for Paul 13, I think he did tell Kate about being Aaron's uncle. In the episode a few weeks ago he made the comment that Kate's not even related to Aaron, strongly implying that Kate knows that Claire was his sister.
Yeah, you're right. But wouldn't people know that Kate wasn't really pregnant before she got on the plane?
You would think, but really, she was on the run in Australia and the only one that really saw her before she got on the plane was the marshal that is now dead. Seems alittle far fetched but not impossible.
Well, if we see the O/6 make it to their "rescue destination" and we know that none of those four are part of the six, it's not a stretch that we find out why they don't make it off the island. Of course, Desmond and Michael can't qualify as even being part of the rescued group. So, who knows Anybody else wondering how much of the rescue story the Oceanic airlines told the press is actually true? For example, the location of the island, the island the O/6 made it to in being rescued by the local inhabitants... did they really just drift ashore in their make shift raft? How much of it could be true? Did Oceanic tell them to make up the story, are they part of the "cover up?" Does Whidmore own Oceanic??
Don't think Sawyer dies, a few weeks ago when Kate and Jack were living together she was doing something for "him". Jack said something about why, Sawyer chose to stay on the island, or something to that effect. I agree that Jin, Michael, and Desmond (so sad!) die on the freighter, but I don't think it Michael or Ben who blows it up. I think its the army guy who had that thing attached to his arm last week. I think thats some kind of remote detenator or something...
Didnt Michael say he ended up on the same island that they used in the cover story? So that would mean that the island is pretty close to that location.
Not making it off the island and dying are two different things. I can almost guarantee you that not even half the names you listed will "die". Technically we already know that some of them don't make it off the island.
In was going to say that maybe that thing Kemay had strapped to his arm was some sort of detonator for the C4.
I definitely think that the thing on Keamy's arm is the detonator, thats his insurance policy so that the boat doesn't leave without them. And again, I strongly disagree that they would wipe out 3 major characters in one shot on the boat, no way.
Finally watched this morning. Not too many new questions from this episode. Answered how Jack found out about Claire, answered the questions about Kate claiming the baby as her own, and cleared up my suspicions that the Oceanic 6 were somehow transported deeper into the future, they seem to get off the island in real time. And that cash settlement must have been huge for Sun to take a majority ownership of her father's company. Oceanic is complicit in the island cover up. There also seems to have been a significant moment between the Oceanic 6 getting off the island and their time on the plane. They all seem way too calm and rational for having just left so many behind, and agreeing to a cover up, even more so if they left some of them dead. The only thing new and mildly mysterious is exactly who Ben was signaling with the mirror. We could assume that it was Richard, but just as anything with Lost never trust your assumptions or anything that happens "off camera." Who or what is causing the radio interference from the freighter? Would make sense if it was the mysterious device attached to Keamy's arm. Desmond went looking for what was causing the interference, the next time we see him he is alerting Michael to the C4. They certainly did seem to be teasing the fact that all the members of the Oceanic 6 are still scattered, and are going to have to be separated from the people they are currently with before getting off the island. Should be interesting and dramatic to see how that goes down. Two weeks is rough, but it will be 7 months after that, so I don't mind the breather.
I have to say, last night's TV viewing sucked *** for me. 1. Supernatural had a bad finale (cool ending, but bad overall) 1. Smallville had an awful finale too. 3. The office was good, but not even close to best episode of this year. 4. Lost was average Although I didn't like the episode as much as last weeks, it did move the pieces into position for a great finale (hopefully, Lost always seems to deliver). I'm really sick of Jack's superhero complex. I hope Locke puts him in his place once and for all. I imagine he does because of the "We gotta go back!" Ben and Hurley have some good dialog together... And of course "Jesus is not a weapon!"
I loved Hurley's reaction to Ben saying there was an elevator in the Orchid. "Wait........what??" I like how Sawyer is protective of Hurley, its like his sidekick. Your right though, LOST ALWAYS delivers with their Finales.
I'm NOT watching it.. .in fact I probably won't post here in the next two weeks simply because I don't want to have ANY idea of what is going to happen in the season finale... see you all in two weeks!
Don't worry, that video isn't a spoiler on the episode, just an easter egg, pretty cool. Check it out.
So I'm not fully caught up yet but does anyone else think the FF are killing the suspense of the show?
One thing that has been bugging me was the Yi Jeon episode. now that was a twist but why is Jin dead but he really isn't and doesn't remember anything?
When they first announced the new episodes after the strike they said one of them would be a Richard episode. Obviously we haven't had that yet and he just re-signed with the show and was in last week's for the first time in awhile. Doesn't look like its gonna happen though cause the finale most likely will continue to show the Oceanic 6 after the rescue. They still might throw some scenes in there though. A flashback episode for him would tell us more about the island, and probably the 4 toed statue. Looks like we have a full cast for the finale
BTW ... Kate heard Claire's mom talking to Jack. They shared a "WTF?" moment of eye contact after she left. Great episode. This season has definitely been the best since the first. Amazing avalanche of lies from the Oceanic Six. I was firmly convinced Jin lives until this episode. Now I'm not sure. Loved her taking it to her old man. Also ... sorry I obviously misread the trailer for this week.
I think it goes 1, 2, 4, 3. I too think Jin dies. I hate it though, he's a great secondary character.
I read an article in the New York Post that they are abandoning the 4 toe statue plot because ABC said it was just too weird. I'll look for the article......got it: http://www.tvsquad.com/2008/03/20/abc-says-that-four-toed-lost-statue-was-too-weird/ They may never revisit the 4 toed statue, which is a shame If you type '4 toed statue ABC' in Google, you'll see all the hits for this story.
