I remember that. I also remember thinking they could have put up a "Yeahhhh. Rigghhhht." caption at that moment.
that would be intersting...it's probably something like the Navy, though. Maybe he was with Hurley's buddy and heard the numbers.
Ahh but wouldnt the simplest solution also be the most craziest when you consider all the weird theories thrown out there?
Question: In last week's Ask Ausiello, you said Nestor Carbonell would be appearing in Locke's flashback episode of Lost on May 1. Did you mean May 8? — Craig Ausiello: Sure did! Sorry for any confusion that caused. Let me make it up to you with some scoop: In the same episode — in a flashback scene that perhaps represents the narrative device's greatest leap in time so far on the series — we'll bear witness to a historic event that has significant repercussions on "present-day" events on the island.
I like the idea of windmoore and ben being each other's constants, but, and theres always a but with lost. Seeing as how ben arrived on the island as a kid, he would have had to leave and come back at some point for that to happen. They make it seem like he's never left. Although he did say he was born there, and we all know that was a lie. Just speculating here....
I definitely think he's been off the island a few times. That picture that Miles had of him looked like he was going through a airport checkout. We also know he left at will in the future so I'm sure he did in the past as well.
the whole Widmore, Ben connection thing is very interesting... the whole thing about the "rules" really makes you wonder what is going on... also brings into question the part about the fake plane crash, how one person said Widmore was behind it, the other said Ben was behind... maybe they worked together to do that part to keep the island concealed... i dont kow, fun stuff
I think they are both trying to keep it hidden. It seems that Widmore originally owned it, so that makes it seem he is behind Dharma. I'm guessing Ben knows more about the island than Widmore just because Ben allied himself with the natives and Widmore was doing more scientific stuff.
W..........T..............F....................... Crazy freaking episode, next week looks even crazier. Locke episode, should be awesome. Christian showing up and taking Claire, but not Aaron? Jack knows he's related to Claire. Looks like the beginning of when Jack loses it in the flashforwards. Kate doing something for Sawyer? Crazy stuff
Well, it looks like Claire makes it to next week's episode from the trailer. Interesting that Miles saw Claire's dad, but then again, he IS the ghost whisperer.
Bernard showing some more unknown skills as well. First sharpshooter, then morse code, now medical expert?
I know, I'm just saying he's become very involved lately. He seemed to know alot about an appendix operation for a dentist.
that was a pretty good one, I'm going to need to rewatch it tonight when I'm not beat. I can't rememeber if we get anymore story on the ghost whisperer guy, but I hope so. The other scientist guy is pretty cool too. I can't stand the red head, I hope she dies soon.
Not so much story, but he did hear Karl and Danielle when they walked over their graves. Then he saw Christian take Claire into the woods. He's definitely gonna be a key to figuring out the secrets of the island. The scene with the guy from next week looks really crazy, the one that said he's been dead for 13 years.
yeah, it seems to me they are making the island a place for lost souls (no pun intended). I believe the guy who said he was dead for 13 years was the guy who brought Ben's dad to the island.
I think Sawyer must have toldher about his kid and he's having her look after his daughter. I was thrilled to hear that he chose to stay on the island. That means he doesn't get killed! I named my cat after him, how could I look at my cat the same way if Sawyer bites the dust?!?
Nice I like Sawyer too, 2nd favorite character behind Locke. I was happy to hear he chose to stay as well. Sounds like they give them an ultimatum and only so many are allowed to leave. Kinda surprises my Hurley is one of them though.
I didn't take the time to thumb back through all the posts but I noticed that Jack had his shirt off early in the episode, in what ought to be a flash forward scene. I remember thinking that it was sort of needless to have such a long shirtless scene to start an episode. But with the appendectomy later on, that should leave a recognizable scar on his belly. Does anyone remember if it showed up early in the episode. Makes me wonder if the flash forward is 'reality' or not?
Well my theory on the whole smoke monster manifestation into past acquaintances/relationships holds true... Remember, the ship's team of assassins was headed away from the smoke monster when they passed Sawyer/Claire/Ghost Whisperer. Sawyer's team was heading towards the monster, generally speaking. So good old smokey manifests as Christian and takes Claire away. No way Claire leaves her baby like that in the middle of the jungle. (Smokey has manifested before, Eko's brother comes to mind, and that was after Smokey scanned Eko - who could forget that scene)... Liked seeing Mrs. Hawkins (from Jericho) in Lost. Wonder if she'll be in more future episodes, she always seemed to show up just when things were getting good though (Jack seeing Christian, or did he)... Solid episode, I certainly wasn't surprised to see Kate in the shower, I recognized the stairwell straight away in Jack and Kate's house (from the scene with Kate heading upstairs to kiss Aaron). Didn't the Ghost Whisperer hear whispering when he stepped over the graves of Rousseau and the boy? Lots of whispering on the island... hmmm... leads me to the preview for next week's episode. Guy said he'd been dead for 13 years, does that mean he was reported dead in the real world or that he died on the island? hmmm... I hope we get to see Jacob next week!
Some theories on last weeks show I read I don't think Jack had appendicitis. I think Juliet did something to him to make him think that, then wouldn't allow him to watch the surgery so she could plant some sort of tracking device or something inside him. It's like Rose said: people just don't get sick on that island. More evidence that Juliet wasn't really doing an appendectimy - Jack pointed out that she was shaving two inches too high where the incesion should be. Is it just me or was anyone else creeped out when Bernard said "Sorry Jack, but I agree," and then smothered him w/ a rag covered in something to make Jack pass out. The way he said it was just..off. then add on the fact that he secretly, and who knows why, knows morse code (military? boy scouts? who knows) and is quite the shooter.... Then add in janitordan's theory that Juliette purposely misdaignosed appendicitis and performed a bogus surgery for an unknown (but presumably sinister) reason... are they in on something together? does bernard have a past with the island or widmore or hanso or any of that? hmm... Something's up with Bernard and I'm not sure I like the way it's looking (fighting to keep myself from googling for spoilers to see if a future ep this season features him, argh).
Thursday! Looked like the guy that welcomed Ben and his dad to the island when they first got there. Not sure if it is though.
It's thursday Lost's Kim OK With Jin's Fate Daniel Dae Kim, who plays castaway Jin-Soo Kwon on ABC's Lost, told SCI FI Wire that he is OK with his character's fate, whatever it may be. And, no, he wouldn't say what that is. Fans know that Jin's ultimate fate was thrown into doubt (spoilers ahead!) in the recent episode "Ji Yeon," in which Jin's wife, Sun (Yunjin Kim), is seen in a flash-forward at what appears to be Jin's grave. "You know, if he doesn't make it, it's been a great ride," Daniel Dae Kim said in an interview at the Hollywood premiere on May 7 of his upcoming A&E miniseries The Andromeda Strain. "It's been an incredible opportunity. If he does make it, it means the roller-coaster ride continues. Either way, it's a win-win." Kim added that the producers have told him some of what's coming up. "A few things," he said. "But very broad, general strokes." Kim just wrapped shooting of season four, which resumed with new episodes in late April after an interruption because of the Hollywood writers' strike. Season four wraps up May 29. Is Kim ready to say goodbye to the island for good? "The writers--regardless of whether we're ready to say goodbye to it or not--the writers have such a way of continuing to delve into the characters," he said. http://www.scifi.com/scifiwire/index.php?category=1&id=53710
