The Times-Picayune reports the city of Los Angeles is attempting to be the host city for the NFL Draft next year, according to the Los Angeles Times. The venue for the event would be the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live.

LA needs to be interested in hosting a team before they become interested in hosting the draft, IMO.

Ideally, the draft should take place in the city of the team with the #1 overall pick.

I'd love to see that happen. Fairly neutral ground since there's a good motley of different teams represented in fans here (i.e. no heavy concentration of Jets fans). That alone would make it worth it.
