Ok, so with all due respect to Paul and everyone who's followed in his footsteps, I didn't join this league to sell players off on an auction block. I understand why some may go that way, but I'd rather know that I worked to negotiate a trade then sold someone off to the highest bidder. My 2nd issue is some people around here are too attached too their players. I can respect that. I've taken that route previously in this league. However, it's more fun to play ball and wheel and deal. All that being said, I'm looking for someone with similar beliefs that is willing to pull off a big trade. I have a roster full of stars and very good players as well as (conditionally) two 1st round and two 2nd round picks, and am willing to negotiate a trade with any of them provided I'm getting back real value. Anyone looking to make a big move take a look at my roster and make me an offer. Unfortunately Big Ben and Santonio Holmes have already been traded, but there is still plenty left to work with. PM me if you have a serious offer.
I'm interested, though I have nothing specific in mind. I wouldnt mind doing something large as long as it made my team better.
Sports, let me know if you're interested in any Seahawks players. I know there isn't a significant amount of good ones but just check over it. The price tags aren't too high and the roster will be cleaned up so some names I'm looking to move.
by the way... sadly, the auction has gone the way of the Snuggy... it WAS hip, it WAS warm, it WAS fuzzy... but now there are a million knockoffs and none of them worth the cost of shipping.
Just a small addendum here. Just because I want to make a big trade and am willing to move anyone that doesn't mean I'll be giving anyone away. I'm not interested in giving away pro bowlers and potential pro bowlers for your scraps. I'm not saying that's all I've gotten because I have gotten some real offers, but I plan on getting value back for my players. I was just saying I am not attached to anyone and was hoping to pull off something big if anyone was also interested in doing that. For example: I've already traded away Big Ben for a top shelf offensive lineman and a draft pick in one deal and traded Santonio Holmes for another good offensive lineman in another. Something like that or a trade involving multiple stars going both ways is what I had in mind, not James Harrison and Heath Miller for John Beck and a 3rd (not an actualy offer proposed, but not too much of an exaggeration from one or two).
Blockbuster is my middle name. Let's throw everything at the wall and see what sticks. Holla back on that son. AIM is preferred. talktothegish
Haha, not trying to throw TT under the bus. He's usually pretty good about fair offers. Just trying to use a name we all know.
Wait, wait, wait... Since when is John Beck not a future league MVP and face of the franchise? You guys are making me out to be the bad guy. I only added that 3rd rounder in for good measure since Pittsburgh hasn't exactly been the model of consistency in the last 5 years or so.
That's not my decision alone. Maybe Pittsburgh wants to keep the dealings private. If he wants to share it, he has my blessing.
I don't want to make any kind of auction block. The Jags made a very fair starting offer as far as I'm concerned. Definitely a great point to go from in negotiations.
