It makes sense, why not take a flier on a guy with a tremendous skill set for a 5th or 6th rounder. What do we have to lose? Another 2nd rounder for a back up QB?
As GM, I could be convinced of using 5th, 6th, 7th, or UDFA if my scouts told me he could be the TE. Size, and athleticism for a new CBA financially slotted 2012 5th rounders or later is very logical. The unknown is IF he could be that TE.
