Longtime 'Canes LB coach Michael Barrow leaving program

A source with direct knowledge of the situation confirmed to the Sun Sentinel late Thursday night that longtime Hurricanes linebackers coach Michael Barrow is leaving the program. The story was first reported by CanesInsight.com. Miami would not comment on that or any other coaching moves on Thursday.

Barrow's departure may not be the only coaching move Miami has to deal with ahead of camp, which begins Tuesday. Footballscoop.com reported on Thursday that Miami assistant special teams coach Billy Furman was joining the staff at Eastern Kentucky while CaneInsider and 247 Sports reported that former Plantation High standout and former Hurricane Kevin Beard is expected to join Miami's staff.
