The Chargers would have to lose out as well. The Bengals would have to lose all but the Chargers game.

I think Cincy, New England, and Denver would all have to collapse.

What makes you think we can shut down Peyton Manning now when we didn't do it before? Or Drew Brees?

Because our otherwise anemic defense has finally stepped up. Our Safeties are getting comfortable, our pass rush has come on, and while our run defense has slacked up a bit, it's holding its own. Oh and lets not forget about the rookie CB tandem that's getting better each week.

Our offense is no longer relying on a 50/50 split between trickery and manpower, we're running a traditional offense pretty well, and outside of some ridiculous turnovers today, we would have absolutely crushed the Jags, a 7-5 team that was in control of its own destiny in regards to the playoffs.

Do I think we're a superbowl caliber team? Probably not. But, if there's one thing I've learned from watching football, it's that sometimes that doesn't even matter all that much.

And I'm sorry, we COULD have won against both the Colts, and the Saints, I'm pretty confident of that.
