Check around the net, most company sites have online cost calculators to help you figure out the shipping. Here are a few that have had positive reviews MyYellow, Your Online Connection to Yellow Transportation Inc. https://www.freightquote.com/Public/Home/FQ/Home.aspx Freight Shipping Rates – Freight Quote | Freight Rate | Freight Shipping Services uShip - The Online Shipping Marketplace - Ship Freight, Furniture, Vehicles or Moves
You might want to reach out to SethDaddy8 per this thread... http://forums.thephins.com/business-network-section/13896-shipping-your-luggage-ahead.html Seems like he would be an expert on this....good luck.
Is this personal or business to business? I am in the shipping business, specializing in business to business. I can tell you, 155 lbs to Alaska won't be too cheap. Yellow is notoriously cheap, and you get what you pay for...plus I'm not sure what their Alaska rates look like. Could be worth checking out. The weight max for Fedex/UPS Ground is 150lbs, so you miss that option (plus the dim weight may be even greater), and their freight service is expensive...especially to Alaska. PM me with any questions or more info, but you need a freight company. I can honestly say that a single 155 lb shot to Alaska is not going make my day, but I could work something out with you, since you are a member here.
