ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- The Detroit Lions will hold a press conference Monday, April 20 at 12:30 p.m. inside Dunham’s Sports in Madison Heights to unveil the team’s comprehensive new brand that includes a new logo, new uniforms and other branding elements. Lions President Tom Lewand will lead in the announcement of the Lions’ new brand.

Nothing to drastic.. I like it better than the old one, but maybe they should have done something more drastic ala what the bucs did.. But I like that they didn't go all new-age with the unis like minnesota did..

At a time when Lions fans are waiting for evidence of the new uniforms that their favorite team will be wearing in 2009, fans of another franchise named for a jungle cat also will soon be getting a new reason to plunk down good money for a new jersey. Or two. Or three.
124New MemberThe Lion looks more fierce and the numbers have a nicer design, IMO. I like the change. After going 0-16, there should be lots of changes.

The Lions have been so bad for so long, a uni change is a good thing-see Tampa Bay.
I think it should have gone a bit further to distance themselves from the old unis, but these do look pretty solid.

They need it, my personal opinion is that the Jags have the ugliest uniform I have ever seen (well except maybe the old Buccaneer orange jerseys). .

but they just changed their uniforms couple of years ago.
Kind of odd to change it so soon. The logo i understand.

I don't know... I kind of like the idea (I'm glad they stuck with the rearing lion) I just don't think it was executed quite right... might take a little getting used to imo.
