Shaun Hill was having a decent yr in that offense, now he is most likely out, and Stafford has yet another shoulder injury that was 50/50 whether it needed surgery, now they are down to Drew Stanton.

That sux. I think the Lions are making all the right moves and will be a very good team in a year or two.

That's what they get for not prioritizing protection. Dumbest move they could've made was taking Pettigrew over Oher.

Hey PumperDog, time to take note.

Maybe Detroit can finish last again, draft Andrew Luck, and destroy him too.

I agree they needed more protection and that Pettigrew over Oher wasn't a good call, but Stafford's latest injury wasn't due to bad protection, he got tripped up and landed on it weird I guess. It wasn't because an OL blew an assignment and got him killed.

Detroit needs to spend more time on the OL though for sure, not just drafting, but maybe taking a better FA or two. Just because a rookie isn't playing behind an all pro line doesn't mean you pass or keep them on the bench. Ryan and Bradford did ok in their rookie years behind suspect lines.
