i only buy mutts anyways at the humane society/dog pound. I think people would be surprised the great pets you can find there. One of my dogs is part australian cattle dog and the other is part lab. The lab looks a little funny but she's got a great personality and the austalian cattle dog, I think at least is good looking .
I agree you can find great companions and pets for almost nothing. Some people like something different after having domesticated pets.
