    Not hiring Dan Campbell period

    franchise altering mistake

besides Mahomes I lobbied hardest for that guy to take over cause I knew he had it all for this team playing in this town.
And anyone who tells me he wasn’t ready, hold your breath, im sure you were one of those who called him a meathead back in the day.

I'm not sure he was ready, and his time under Payton was hugely beneficial, but yeah he was worth more of a shot than anyone else we've had since then.

We can only hope Grier isn't picking another one.

November 4th is fast approaching. I don't trust Grier to get the most value for the guys who must absolutely be traded before then. Chubb, Phillips, Fitzpatrick, anyone else? Do you move Waddle now too? Achane?

I get that you don't want to leave the cupboard empty but a new GM might also view all those extra picks as a way to build a roster quickly too.

Yeah I can't fathom letting Grier handle the trade deadline - we see moves being made already and insiders are saying more early moves will be common.

I wouldn't trade everybody, but I would make almost anyone available for the right price. Achane, for example. He's a great player, but if you can get high value for a running back while staring at a regime change, you take it. It's just too short-lived a position to really stake a claim on it.

I'd be fine with moving Achane. I would think at worst you would get a 3rd round selection. Wright who is looking more like another bust every day and Gordon can carry the load I guess.

I don't put a lot of time or emotional energy into sports but the decision to do nothing by ownership irks me. A decision to help shape the future of the organization needs to be made and Ross twiddles.

The Dolphins have been such an utter disappointment this season and the lack of action by Ross has just sucked the joy out of the game for me this season.

Ross put out a letter in the beginning of the offseason that said the status quo wasn’t good enough, or words to that effect. Well, I suppose the status quo was good enough and the fans be damned. Well, I’m hopping off of this merry go round. Oh I’ll check scores and watch highlights but I can’t go investing so much time and energy when the owner won’t reciprocate with action to make the Dolphins a winner so, until action is taken…

Not even performing at status quo level. A Phillips sack probably preserves a win though. But for what purpose? Does anyone view another W as a turning point? Win 4 games on the year vs 3?

After the first game this team is scoring points. The scheme works well enough despite a poor offensive line. It could be tweaked to reduce the number of behind the line plays so you're not behind the chains so often. Could actually be good if Tua wasn't throwing picks all the time.

Sorry. Didn't mean to write about non Grier things. Btw, is he still here?

He makes the point that in a Tua trade it's not about return (he predicts a 7th rounder) but in clearing cap ... and unfortunately that is the biggest impediment to a trade. I just don't see a team with enough cap space preferring Tua to a less expensive vet with upside (like the recent Baker/Jones signings) or a high pick rookie. The injury history and cap and overall limitations just make this difficult to put together. I would have to imagine you not only get a minimal return but also would need to eat a good chunk of that cap space too.

And I will repeat until I am blue in the face - nothing matters at all until and unless Grier is walked out the building. Every problem on this team, every single one, has it's genesis with him.

Agreed, Grier must be the first to go.

It’s 11:30 Monday morning after the embarrassing loss to the Chargers and no announcement of any firings. No Grier, no McDaniel. It’s one of two things then…

Grier either forewarned Ross this season was going to be a horrible season but not to worry…he has a plan or…

Ross has no intention of firing Grier, most likely because Grier could sink the Dolphins proverbial ship with what he knows over the entire Flores fiasco and Ross would lose the team a la Dan Snyder and the Redskins.

Glad I spent the day with my granddaughter yesterday and only watched the highlights. Absolutely ZERO stress this morning!!!!

with every passing day, Ross proves he is the by far the worst owner in the NFL.
