well... it really seemed like they made a concerted effort to get Lamar Miller some time today at the expense of Daniel Thomas... he started the game with Bush in the slot.
Hey...Bush has put together a string of solid games now. He has been very good for us these last three weeks and while he's not doing what he did at the end of last season, he is still giving our offense a chance. Regardless of if we bring him back or not I will say that his time with us has been productive.
With three games left, its a tough call the rest of the way. You have to balance trying to win the game and keeping Reggie happy (so the team looks good to future free agents), while also getting a better look at Thomas and Miller so you can judge if those two can carry the load in 2013, or if we need to bring in someone else to replace Bush.
I remember debating a lot of folks that he was a legit 3rd rounder, went 61st, very low risk player really, presented tremendous value..
Daniel Thomas was in the game to help with pass protection. However, at that point when you're down by 2 scores and trying to come back you need your playmakers. He's the only real big threat, make a player miss guy we have on offense. It's annoying as hell to see him out of the game at the end of games. He clearly was a mismatch for a lot of those guys. Every time Aldon Smith was out covering him, was a mismatch for the Miami Dolphins and win for us.
