Kinda gettin' tired of the world bashin' the team (myself included) so I thought I'd share this. On the eve of Larry King's retirement I thought this was most interesting. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Larry_King "WIOD gave King further exposure as a color commentator for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League, during their 1970 season and most of their 1971 season. However, he was dismissed by both WIOD and television station WTVJ as a late-night radio host and sports commentator as of December 20, 1971, when he was arrested after being accused of grand larceny by a former business partner. Other staffers covered the Dolphins' games into their 24–3 loss to Dallas in Super Bowl VI. King also lost his weekly column at the Miami Beach Sun" I guess you'll have to file this one under, "who knew?" Only old farts like me. Enjoy, -Cobrajet
They showed Larry King in the broadcast booth with the radio guys during a recent game, I think it was last season. One of the MNF games maybe...
To make a long story short he had a gambling problem and he was involved with a lot of shady characters.
Neil Rogers once said King owed him $500 from Kings time in south Florida Too bad for Neil as his health is very bad Neil Rogers is suffering from progressive vascular dementia, a very common form of dementia characterized by blockages in the blood supply to the brain, which lead to neurological symptoms. The complications associated with Neil’s diabetes and the corresponding stroke, have functionally impaired his cognitive abilities. He is not always aware of his circumstances and surroundings. The progressive deterioration and decline has been rapid; significant since Thanksgiving. http://www.neilrogers.com/
He borrowed a lot of money from friends and associates and he never paid back debts even after he became famous and wealthy. There have been several articles written about that .
Larry King borrowed a bunch of money from people and never repaid it, basically. Thousands of dollars. Sucks about Neil Rogers thought, there aren't a tremendous amount of fans of him on this website though.

Wow! She is quite a doll. More proof that there isn't much that money won't buy. God; life can be so unfair . . . . .
Neil Rodgers knew King's whole story, but never would tell everything on the fact that King might sue him. But Rodgers stated over and over that King left Miami, owing a lot of people a lot of money, and when he hit the big time, never paid anyone back. I think he even owed Rodgers $ 5,000 + interest on a loan he gave to help King out.
