This is insider content so I am going to just paraphrase a little of what he said: http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/draft10/insider/news/story?id=4838849 He first states that these needs WILL change for all teams as we get info back from the Senior Bowl week, combine & pro days. Also he based this almost purely on his listed team needs vice BPA. Team Needs: WR, ILB, NT, OLB, S 1st Round: LB McClain 2nd round possibles: WR D.Williams, WR LaFell, WR/HB McCluster 3rd round possibles: DT Oghobaase, DT D Smith, OLB P Riley, WR D Thomas, WR Decker Notes: He says McClain would be a guy we could get instant returns on if we get lucky enough to draft him. He does not see us drafting another WR in 1st round after Ted Ginn experience ... and also there is some good WR options in the 2nd round. He thinks McCluster is a Darren Sproles type with better catching ability & Oghobaase and Smith would be good value at the #63 pick.
Thanks. Can you believe the only team they give you for free is the Patriots lol. You have to sign in for anything else. C'mon ESPN
lafell is a weird one. there are games i like him and others i hate him. if they picked him or Arrelius Benn they better be damn sure they can play. i wouldnt mind the picks but i would be nervous as hell
I think LaFell and Benn both sort of fell victim to poor QB play at times during their careers. I will say that one thing that I've always seen with LaFell throughout his career, and the experts may disagree, but I've really liked his downfield blocking in addition to his receiving skills. If he can be Dwayne Bowe Part II, I'll take him. A small blocking sample - ignore the crappy music. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8K6Sk1KTf10"]YouTube- Lafellized[/ame]
Possible, but Lito Sheppard has a 10 million bonus due they're supposedly not interested in paying, Donald Strickland will probably be let go and Dwight Lowery hasn't proven to be anything special. Considering how handicapped they may be in free agency if no new CBA agreement is reached, CB may almost be a necessity if there's someone there with a high enough grade.
11th Commandment: If Kiper writes it, it will not be so. NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! What are you doing, Kiper??? Don't you know that you've now cursed the Fins not to take McClain? Thanks alot.
well i think it comes down to DE, WR, S and CB. Patrick Robinson may be available at CB, Odrick at DE, Mays at S and Tate at WR
I would LOVE to see that. Tate is an out and out playmaker that could really help Chad Henne out a lot.
