I've heard that they've been impressed with Huff's play in dime coverage, apparently. As for their head coach, according to Shefter on Mike and Mike, he doesn't expect Cable to stay.
Isnt Huff a free agent? Could be mistaken on that one though. If Mays runs a good 40 time though Davis will be intrigued for sure. Would love to see him take Mays or Dunlap, give the following teams another choice.
I was hoping that Hernandez might be a second round possibility for us. I've been thinking that he might an idea fit with Fasano. I was also thinking that I would rate him ahead of Gresham, but I was hoping nobody else would. Now that I see Kiper has him at 19 already I can envision most of the teams having Hernandez as the top TE. If he performs well in the run up to the draft I could see him being in the conversation at #12.
Isn't that like saying Jason Allen is a good reason not to draft CB because he's been impressive in dime packages?
IMO his blocking is at least on par with what they have in Haynos. And I think he would be an ideal fit with Fasano.
but he could be the playmaker that we desperatedly need, hell Fasano and Hilliard did a great job of playing matador yesterday.
I'd select Hernandez first over any other TE. He did a good job blocking in the bowl game when asked.
True. But I know what Ireland told an acquaintance of mine when they talked about the draft at the Champs attached to the Mariott the Dolphins were staying in after the Carolina game.
Kiper's Latest: A lot of movement this week. A couple of guys are back in -- now that they're locks to jump as juniors -- in Jahvid Best and Arrelious Benn. Then, closer to the top, we also have upward movement by the likes of Jason Pierre-Paul (look for my piece on Monday about Bowl risers and fallers) as well as Joe Haden, who is head and shoulders the top CB in this group right now. Florida had a couple of other players rise, and Taylor Mays continues to drop. We expect great things from him in workouts but, as we discussed before, we also assumed greatness there. Some movement as well in my top players at each position, so check those out as well. 1 Ndamukong Suh DT 6-4 300 Analysis: Explosive, relentless and consistent. Aaron Hernandez would be great behind Fasano and I would love to get him in the second. His blocking is not as bad as what some ppl think. He is the best recieving threat at TE in the draft.
They've seemed very willing to compromise in that regard, to a degree I didn't expect. Kory Sperry, David Martin, they gave some looks to Beckum and Ingram last year if I remember correctly.
Draft Insider Digest top 32 - I use to post Scouts Inc in this thread but the more I read of their stuff, the less impressed I am by them ... I really like DID's info better & have quite a bit of respect for Frank Coyle's Blog even though this top 32 list is a bit off from how I'd ranks some of these players ... but it gives us another list discuss 1 Ndamukong Suh - DT - Nebraska - 6’4” 300 2 * Sam Bradford - QB - Oklahoma - 6’4” 220 3 Taylor Mays - FS - Southern Cal - 6’3” 235 4 Russell Okung - OT - Oklahoma St - 6’5” 310 5 C.J. They got McClain's weight wrong. I just don't get the love for Taylor Mays. It seems to me like they're just saying "his size and athleticism is so much better than Berry that, if the light ever came on at FS, he could be much better." Berry has already proven that he is special. Mays has not.
Yep, that was the 1st guy that was out of place for me too when I first saw it ... I haven't seen much of Mays but I have seen Berry and he is such a great player. The other guy that was "off" for me on that list was Cody ... for me he should be 20ish ... Dez Bryant at 21 is to low also but I understand why he put him down there
Man after seeing some of these rankings that have came out from various placing I can't help but think eric berry. And how close he could come to 12 and if we would pull the trigger to move up a few spots for him. Dream come true
