It’s hard to argue with that.

Sticking to their guns, I like that. If their wrong, at least the new group that takes over won’t be starting from scratch.

I really don't like the way you're dishonoring Mel Kiper's wishes in this thread.

This is probably true. If Henne fails, the regime is likely gone, as would Henne's chances/hopes of being a regular starter in the NFL. He's not always been put in the best place to succeed, but there are only so many chances one usually gets (rightly or wrongly) to come through.

The only instance I can really think of where a QB has fallen short over multiple FO's while remaining on the same team is Alex Smith, and he obviously wouldn't be the best company to be with.

Sink or Swim time for #7, they have stocked the offense as well as possible for Henne to succeed, now it is up to him unless he loses out in Training Camp.

In fact, I think he mistaked Henne's and Cutler's:

I agree. By this time next year, Henne will either be a rich man, or a former Dolphin. If he is gone, I wonder who the next scapegoat's gonna be? I'm thinking Marshall...

    No doubt.

I just hope they bring in someone who can seriously compete with him.

I'm interested to find out which vet QB options think they can beat out Henne.

I would guess that any "vet" who signs here thinks they can beat Henne. :wink2:

So lets get this straight, according to Kiper this team was built for Henne last year?

An indictment of the highest order on Mel Kiper. He doesn't understand team mechanics. I mean I'm still learning as well, but Mel Kiper is mainly that guy who talks about stuff but doesn't know a lot about it.

I don't think that's a fair criticism. Team dynamics can vary greatly from team to team considering all the different personalities that must mesh and work together from the coaches to assistants to active players to practice squad guys. You could know a ton on any topic and still be wrong a regular amount of time when so many unknowns are involved.

We did stink at scoring [TDs], I agree. I think we should have finished closer to our YPG rank (21st), which wouldn't have been great or anything, but would have been more representative of our team's talent (and record) IMO.
