Anyone else pick this up? I was cautiously optimistic after seeing the talent involved with the project. Reviews have been pretty good, so I got it yesterday and figured I would give it a shot. I started playing it today and I'm about 4 hours in. Gameplay wise it seems to be a mix of Skyrim meets Fable, with a dash of God of War thrown in. The camera's driving me a little bit crazy; it's hyper sensitive so I find myself running in a zig zag pattern. I also wish that the HUD would move with my character ... it's tough sometimes to figure out just how to get to certain areas. I haven't fully checked out the game options; it's possible it may be in there somewhere. From a depth standpoint, I've done about 5 quests and I feel like I've barely scratched the surface of the game. While I don't necessarily think that this is going to be the 300+ hours that I put into Skyrim, I do expect it to run upwards of 100 hours, which seems just about right. Visually I wish it was a bit less "cartoony" but overall I'm pretty impressed with it. I've seen some issues with popup but nothing major. FWIW, I'm playing the PS3 version. Did anyone else get this one? If so, what are your thoughts.
I got this game last week. Like it a lot. Haven't switched classes yet been playing as a rogue daggers and bow but gonna try sorcery eventually
The Studio (Curt Schilling's 38 Studios) defaulted on their loan and went bankrupt, so this is the one and only game put out by them.....
Oh and agreed about the hud map. So used to it turning with the character that its really confusing. Tothe point where I'm standing next to a door staring at the HUD confused and can't find it even though its right there on the screen. Interesting though bc it just shows how reliant i am on a hud map
Love the game. Actually bought it when it first came out and have been playing it over and over... Bought the strategy guide, which is gorgeous. Just been playing around with lots of builds. Camera can be tricky, but my big pet peeve is the hard "walls" on even the tiniest of cliff faces...
Did that with dark souls.. must have made 8 characters before I got somewhat tired with it. Both great games
I got it a few month back, but didn't like it at all. I played Skyrim before and the story and gameplay just can't keep up with skyrim. The graphic reminds me of WOW and controls are sometimes a bit hard to get used to after playing other RPG games.
