    The meltdown continues :pointlol:

For all of his bluster, for all of his complaints he continues to hurt himself more than his school or scouts could ever do. Congratulations Kelly, for proving that you're a failure and no team in it's right mind should spend a pick on you before a team actually does it.

I agree with you. I could care less about his forty, the guy shows up when he has to.

I hope he pulls a Sidney Rice. He is the only WR I want at 32.

I hope he falls too. He is one of two receivers that I would take, the other being James Hardy.

When his workouts didn't pan out the way he wanted to, he blustered, attacked his school, said they were costing him millions of dollars, and said he was going to run again on a track such as they use at the combine...where he then failed athletically just as badly as he did the first time around. So, he proved himself to be selfish to the point of publicly accusing his institution of letting him down and setting him up to fail (when they gave him the chance in the first place) and attacking everyone else for his failures but himself. That says everything you need to know about the guy and that no team should bother to spend something so precious as a draft pick on such a self-centered jackass.

I think calling him a failure based on a 40 time is a bit extreme.

True, he may be arrogant. My question is, is this the first incident that he has had or has he had multiple altercations with team management/staff such as Terrell Owens?

While I'm not positive on that, this cat hasn't even been drafted yet, and he's attacking people for costing *him* money. I daresay that's solid proof of a turd right out of the box. Someone will still take him I'm sure, but he certainly doesn't deserve it.

That's where I disagree AND agree with you. IMO, he deserves to be drafted because of his production on the field. If we based his value off of just an off the field incident, then McFadden would be plummeting on everyones draft boards but due to his production and talent on the field (like Kelly), he still has good value.

If this is a first time thing for him, I would still take him because it could be a "heat of the moment" comment and he was just dissapointed/embarrased in his showing which still should not be an excuse but it happens to all of us.

The part where I agree with you is that he shouldn't have had an outburst on his coaches because they do not do the workouts, he does and there should be no excuses for a poor showing. I am sure that coaches gave it their best in coaching him up and he just failed to deliver at that time.

Thats just my take on it.

n addition to running his forty in the mid-4.6 range at Wednesday's private Pro Day, NFL.com's Gil Brandt reports Malcolm Kelly benched 225 14 times.
Kelly's camp sent out an email saying he touched the mid-4.4s, but Brandt had Kelly at 4.63, 4.65 on a fast track. Kelly's short shuttle was 4.15. He was thrown 22 "catchable passes" from stand-in QB Eric Crouch and caught 21.

That's all I need to hear. That's what I was saying earlier, the man has good hands and shows up when he has to. I know someones going to say that he obviously didn't show up and thats true but when its gametime, hes productive.

Kelly has a better chance of being at 32 than Cason. And if they are both there, I bet we pass on both. :wink2:
