I can understand that he might be on the end side of his career, but is he worth a look for depth purposes? Quality players are a dime a dozen on waivers. Why did the Packers let him go? ESPN - Green Bay Packers release Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila, activate Justin Harrell
Yeah agree with Gish on that one. I think if anything, hed play a Porter type role for us, and we already have JP playing at a probowl level right now. Bit to small for a 3-4 DL assignment I think, and we dont need him at LB. He will probably want a decent contract as well and we just dont need to spend the money on him rihgt now.
If he still has anything left in the tank from a pass rush standpoint, that's certainly an area of need for us. I don't know that we're good enough yet to take on a situational guy that doesn't play special teams, though.
For whatever it is worth I don't think it would be worthwhile we are in the middle of a team rebuild and a youth movement and he would probably cost to much anyway. Theres a lot of teams needing players right now and it probably wont take him long to land a job.
I like the idea of picking him up, but i dont think he's the right fit with his age. Plus, he cant really help out on special teams. Right now we have a roster of guys that can compete for depth and special teams... id hate to ditch one of them for KGB
