In other news, have any of you woken up and wondered a: How you got where you were and b: no remembering that you fell asleep in the first place?

I just woke up halfway on the stairs, halfway in my game room upstairs. And its like an hour later.

did I technically go into a time machine?

or perhaps just a coma...

 

I have that feeling every once in awhile, Booze is usally involved.

 

I woke up in a club once and didn't remember going there. At all.

 

Two of us slammed beers in DC waiting for the Greyhound back to Annapolis. Got aboard and passed out. We woke up, the bus was parked in a locked compound with barbed wire at the top, it was dark and we had no idea where we were. We climbed the fence and began to wander, discovering we really were in the wrong neighborhood at 4 am. Hungover, sick and lost. We figured out where we were after a fashion and made our way back to the Naval Academy where our liberty launch had just left making us both late for duty. We both lost a day of liberty at Port Canaveral our next stop.

 

yeah my friends and I got lost in dallas once because we were wasted and looking for a strip club. Stupid thing to do but funny now

I don't understand what the hells a stolen base?????

 

It's like when you buy one of those tall floor lamps that you have to assemble yourself. The bottom piece is the base. If there isn't one in the box, then you assume the base was stolen, thus, stolen base and you can't put the lamp together so you go back to the store for a refund.

The other meaning, and this is a special meaning is that is the catcher runs and picks up second base and then tries to get all the way to the centerfield fence with it before the batter "tags him out" by hitting him with the baseball bat he's carrying. That's part of the reason catchers wear all that equipment.

If the catcher makes it over the centerfield fence before the batter hits him, they win the game.
