True, and to that point, The Dodgers haven't hurt anything or anyone in 20 years...so maybe there is more common ground than previously thought.

 

so we had 2 of the greatest players of all time on the team at the same time, and one of the greatest pitchers. and i think its safe to say one of the greatest hitters in mlb history, but still no pennant in 31 years

 

btw the players i just named(griffey, arod, the big hillbilly randy, and ichiro) have never been suspected of steroids..well canseco has "claims" of arod...but if it was true obviously it'd be a huge topic in sports

I live in the bay area and I cannot STAND the Giants. Of course, I am a Dodgers fan so I guess that goes without saying, but if I wasn't a Dodgers fan, I think I would still hate the Giants.

I like the A's, Rickey Henderson is a family friend and those late 80's early 90's teams hold special memories for me as a youngster going to the park with my grandmother who used to cook lunch/dinner for the players. It was cool because I got to meet a lot of them who, to this day would probably recognize me and know my name.

When she passed they were also gracious enough to wish her off at the stadium and thank the surviving family members for her support (and food).

Thats cool!! Rickey was probably one of the greatest players of the modern era, and nobody could deny his stolen bases record. He was definately fun to watch!! As for the Giants, I absolutely hate them with a passion!!!!!!!!!!I've always been kind of neutral on the Dodgers, take 'em or leave 'em, although I have alot of Dodger fans in my family. Did you happen to see the A's Giants game last night? Tommy Lasorda was there sloppin down a big ole bowl of spaghetti, and he had it all over his face...it was funny as hell Your Dodgers did get a great manager though when they hired Joe Torre. He's a class act, as was Lasorda, who bled Dodger Blue for many years.

 

Tommy is fantastic when he goes to San Fran. He waves and blows kisses to the crowd which just infuriates them more. I love it.

I went to a Dodgers-A's game from I think, two years ago when it went 18 innings (I think) and ended with a walk off walk in favor of the A's I cheered simply for being able to go home.

 

After 18 innings my *** would be so numb I wouldn't walk right for hours.from sitting!

thats cool man, i loved Rickey Henderson when he was on the Yankees. They had that awesome team that never won the big one with him, Donnie baseball, Willie Randolph and Dave Winfield. then when the bronx became too dangerous for my mom to take me to games alone, we started hitting up the mets, and i've supported them since i was about 8 or 9. cool deal, rickey always seemed like a class-act.
