Put it to you this way... Ellejay, GA is the Meth capital of the US. You've never heard of Ellejay, no one you know has heard of Ellejay. It's much more prevalent in small towns. I guarantee NC has a bigger Meth problem than anywhere in Florida (per capita of course)

Actually, I believe the Meth Capital of the US is Bethel Island, CA. Effectionately known as METHel Island. But alas, hardkore is right, Meth is much mor epopular in small, thinly populated areas.

Most likely, the US probably has about 347 unofficial meth capitals nationwide. Mainly due to the relatively "easy" way to make it, despite its propensity to go *kaboom* at any minute.

A friend of mine, who lived in a suburbanized area of the Bay Area, woke up to find her across the street neighbor's gaage door on her front lawn after their meth lab blew up and shot the Automatic 5000 across the street onto her front yard. Had this been out in the boonies, like it should have been, no other damages would have incurred other than the house/lab burning down.

Hence, why small towns are more likely to have meth.
