id rather watch a special on 'plankton' then soccer......

I'd rather watch a preview about a special on plankton than soccer. In French.

Yes, yes we do, and when I see soccer, I just dont see it. Maybe if they were allowed to tackle each other and one guy either handed the ball off or threw it down the field. And you only had 4 attempts to get ten yards.....wait.....

I'd watch mud-wrestling over football and soccer. Soccer is the best sport, just not with that kind of defending lol.

Its not like that, for me not at least. You see great art in the game, beautiful crosses and goals. Yes, they don't always come as fast as you'd like or they sometimes don't come all game but when the goals are made, they're great to see. Its the same thing as me asking you, how can you watch guys hitting each other for 10 minutes in the game while the other 50 are spent making calls at the line, penalties and timeouts? Soccer is non-stop and includes what I said above, which is why I find it the best sport and a joy to watch. Football is great to watch as well but its not non-stop and statistics prove that there is on average only thirteen minutes of actual game play in football.

go to a park and see a guy kicking a hacky sack around.....art? art is reading a defense, looking off a safety, juking a linebacker, a running back picking up a blitz perfectly send him flipping over the top, its a hot route audible at the line of scrimmage based on a "feeling" and it leads to a touchdown....art is a game winning field goal with the crowd going nuts, 12 degrees and the pressure weighing down on your shoulders.....art is a amazingly defended pass with no time left to win the national championship....

i couldnt and cant understand how guys kicking a ball is "art" or exciting? or how a game that ends 1-0 on average all the time is the greatest sport?!?!

 

to soccer fans art is when the game is over.......three days later

I agree that football is an art, I'm not arguing that. Some see it differently and that happens to be the case here. Its not just kicking a ball in my opinion. And I'm not sure if your implying that I said it is the greatest sport, what I was saying that it was the best sport IMO. In other words, my favorite to watch.

Well I can see your point, to a point, but it is a tactical game like grid iron too. Now I love both sports so I can't raise an argument. But being a brit I guess i prefer quality than quantity. I would rather watch a 0-0 footy game than say a 112-114 basketball game. That game is so ridiculous!

 

i wouldnt rather watch soccer....lol....but basketball is dredful to watch as well
