Could anyone foresee the dolphins moving D.Jordan to outside Lb.......pairing him with Misi at the middle and Jenkins/Ellerbe(restructure contract)should give us a formidable Lb crew......what do you think?
I could see it, I'm sure the coaches have seen it in practice, if they liked what they saw he'd probably be in there ahead of Wheeler.
What makes you think they instructed him to gain 35 lbs? That's not something that a coaching staff can make a player do imo.
the staff botched the projection of this player, if they wanted him covering calvin Johnson and golden Tate in the slot, and have him playing the mike, they never would of allowed him to balloon his weight to where its at...period..
They can instruct him to not take banned substances too, doesn't mean he has to listen. I get your point but we are talking bout grown men, professional athletes, millionaires, youre overestimating the level of power their coaches have over them, especially a #3 pick w a guaranteed contract.
I'm not sure what stance your taking..? I get your point that he could of done the juice to gain this unnecessary weight, but who the hell is monitoring these guys during the offseason, what kind of instruction did he get to think that it was ok to get up to about 280 maybe more. You can't tell me that you think he wasn't told to add the weight before the offseason? If they did, they made a mistake on this player, he needed not to do that, he just needed to strengthen the shoulder and have a quality offseason, with his body type 3 to 5 lbs would of been plenty..then you can get the best out of him when you ask him to cover Calvin johnson, golden Tate, play the mike, etc... He would be right on plane if that were the case, an all purpose jackknife player with extraordinary range length and explosion.
Many fans and media feel that Jordan should be an OLB, but apparently the coaching staff is dead set against it. Perhaps a new staff would be more willing to give it a try. He's going to be here through at least 2016 one way or another.
They are playing him all over the field, why in the hell would you want him 35lbs heavier than last year if that was the plan.?
Perhaps they hadn't planned on doing that, but Ellerbe's injury, Misi's injury, and Wheeler's failure to improve forced their hand?
