If it's alcohol, I'll have to beg out of the contest. I'm drinking moderately, trying to avoid the brain-chemical highs and subsequent lows that bouts of heavy consumption bring on. But I have been concocting a drinking game for The Food Network's Unwrapped; every time they make an analogy to give you a sense of scope - like, "that's enough Snickers bars to reach the moon SEVEN TIMES!" - you have to do a shot.

Well, closed door meetings at my company are never good. I expect to see my salary take a hit very soon... **** this economy. EDIT: Just got word there is a company wide meeting at 11 AM. Anyone know of any part time jobs available?
Not a good sign for sure. The last three closed door meetings here resulted in: 1) 5 people losing their jobs. 2) The sales team (me) losing their weekly draw. 3) The sales team losing their cut of the annual and quarterly rebates.
So..... paycuts all around... some people let go. Luckily I still have a job, but it's gonna be rough. I planned on this as a posibility and have been saving money. Hopefully things will turn around.
They plan on giving it back if and when it turns around? I have always been of the opinion that if employees are willing to sacrifice some scrath to help the company out, that the company should turn around once it does turn around, and give as much back as they can when times are good again. Good luck Casey. At least you still have a job. Maybe you can pick something up on the weekends, or whatever days you have off.
Sucks about the pay cut, i feel your pain. Thank God you weren't let go. You could always join Chippendales like i did for extra money.

thats pretty much how u gotta feel now adays. im on the other side of the fence, i got a pay increase with more hours, but my job is going to be more pressure and stress, which i dont care for. wish it wouldnt of changed.
