It would be to our benefit to get him resigned. I want us to address LB in the draft but JT still has some good mileage left. He would really help us through the transitory phase with any rookies (and Wake as he continues to progress). But if we resign him he absolutely needs to be on the field for passing downs. I hated that he was pulled out during a lot of those last year.
I hope you're right about that 23. I really do. I feel the JT ought to be here until he's ready to hang it up for good.
JT is a sly old dog isn't he? Recall all the static about the offseason program in 2008 when Parcel's first arrived? In 09 Sparano "sent him the workout program" for JT to work on with a personal trainer...now in 10...darn...bum shoulder coach... To me this is good news, if JT was looking to move via FA he would have had the surgery last month, but if things are preworked out with the Trifecta this will remove a hurdle to a return.
JT is an old hand at this.Hopefully he is re-signed .He wont be DPOY again but if he can play in his natural position and be a role player he could be very effective. A little reminder of what he is capable of doing. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kbm52VMZY8k"]YouTube- Jason Taylor Tribute[/ame]
Thanks for that CT. I agree; I think he still has some of those left in him. Our defense can still use what he brings to the table.
