SPORTSbyBROOKS Wilkes-Barre reporter RT @cvmikesisak: Penn State coach Joe Paterno near death, family summoning close friends to hospital for final goodbye
Very sad that he will be remembered for the last couple of months. http://www.tmz.com/2012/01/21/joe-paterno-near-death/
Lost respect for JoePa after everything that has happened. How are you going to keep quiet about something like that. His words "I should have done more" Yeah you should have. He will be remembered as a legend AT PSU as a coach but as a person not so much. well in my eyes anyways.
RIP Jo Pa. It is sad how his career ended (much to his fault), but he still was a legend that made Penn State. Prayers to his family.
According to ESPN (watching it now), Joe Paterno has died. I knew this was going to happen. I knew within a matter of months of his dismissal, he would die. Paterno lived for Penn State. He had nothing to live for afterwards. Rest in peace Joe Pa
Despite his ending today, possibly escalated by the ongoing Sandusky scandal and the associated stress he had to be under, paterno still has to be one of the most revered figures in the history of American sports. I can't think of a single sports figure who had a bigger fall from grace then the winningest coach in the history of college football. RIP.
