I honestly hope the kid gets another chance somewhere, but let's be honest, this guy is not a good NFL QB. I like the person, and loads of respect, but he just isn't c

That being said, neither is Dirty Snatcho, and I SERIOUSLY doubt Geno Smith will be either. Couldn't happen to a more deserving team.

I actually hope he doesn't get another chance in NFL. I'm really sick and tired of the media circus over this kid.
I'm sure given his intelligence, heisman status and demeanor he can make a good living as a public speaker, but get him out of the NFL

He has expressed a desire to be a missionary when his NFL career is over.He may start that career before he anticipated.

There's always the CFL.....where I actually think he would be a huge star, but it is....the CFL.....

I hope he has a great career in the NFC. It would piss off the jest almost as much as passing on Marino. Knowing they had a great one, but the coach had wood with sanchez.

As a Jets fan, I wish him well. He really got shafted by NY and he deserves better. I am not some Tebow nut swinger - I don't even follow college football. But the Jets sold him a bill of goods and then never delivered. I hope he ends up somewhere where he is given an honest chance. I think that is all he was looking for.

Have him quit trying to be a QB and he could be a good Crash Jensen type of player.

I'd love to see him in the CFL tbh, he'd at least have a fair shot at playing Qb and hone his game if he won a job.

He reminds me of Joe Kapp, only w/o the tequila!

I could see him in the CFL but he is talented enough in other areas to help an NFL team.

Probably, but also think playing Qb fits more into what he wants to do in life, keep in mind he is quite wealthy as it is so running down field on ST or catching screen passes may not appeal to him.

He'd be a huge huge star up there if he made it.

A place like Montreal my goodness, he'd own the town.

He needs to come here to challenge Tanny. Would be a great addition.

He would actually Flourish in the CFL if it wasn't for one little detail. As a passer he absolutely SUCKS, and as you well know Padre, that is absolutely the name of the game in Kuh nadia..well that and getting drunk and falling through semi-frozen lakes...and I don't think he'd be very good at that either.

Think that the CFL needs people like him. As the CFL would give him that time to flourish. Really he seemed miserable in NY!

Dude would find oysters with pearls on the bottom of the lake tho AZ~

Thing is, that wider field would play to his strengths, and he'd get to play and improve his game

He's Joe Kapp AZ, he just finds a way to get it done..consistently.

And yet Sanchez still has a job.

Good luck to Tebow (sincerely). I hope he lands somewhere.

Harsh to release him after the draft and most of the FA period. Kind smacks of something personal, its not like he was even close to be in their plans.

I wouldn't be surprised if Tebow is happy about it. I feel sorry for Geno Smith. Had he went somewhere else ('cept the Bills and Raiders) he probably would have had a chance. But the Jets are so much of a mess he should pull an Eli.

  20. I feel as sorry for him as I did when the Lions drafted Santon, which is next to nothing. A good QB will turn that franchise around and a crappy one wont. I hope he sucks as if not more then Sanchez.

Regardless of what anyone thinks about Tebow's quarterbacking skills, the kid did his job. He prepared and when he was called in to play, he played. In fact, in Denver, when he was called in, he not only played, he won. He didn't ask for this media circus; he didn't solicit it. I do feel badly for Tebow's NFL career. I always liked Tebow from his days at Florida, and felt he was probably one of the greatest college football players ever, but I did doubt his skills to be able to play quarterback at the NFL level.

I just feel terrible for how he was treated in New York. The one thing that makes Tebow great in my opinion is that he is not wrapped around his entire life being football; it is only a part of his life and his own personal greatest ambition is to follow in the footsteps of his parents and do missionary work.

How often do we as parents inspire our children enough to be role models enough for them to want to do the same line of work we do?

I wish Tebow nothing but the very best!

I'd like to see harbaugh bring him in, I think he could make it fit, and give Kap a little breather on some zone read short yardage stuff.

It surely isn't his fault that sparano did not have the knowledge or schematic acumen to design the offense to suit his skillset..McCoy is a very good coach.

Right, well the primary difference is that Snatcho cost them the majority of an entire draft What he didn't cost them in that draft, Shonn Greene did. And the stubborn Jack-*** that is Rex Ryan can't swallow that pill...and letting Snatcho go would instantly cost them 17 mil against the cap.
Plus, I honestly believe the only reason that Tebow was in NY is cause of Sparano...who obviously is gone

Thats somehow more annoying than all the Favre slurping that ESPN did.
Favre was overrated but he was also a good QB.

I know I'm probably in the minority, and I'll probably get torched for this, but I'm sorry...the highlighted part is just BS.

He very much so solicited the media spotlight. There are many, MANY Christians in the NFL. They all don't genuflect every time they fart like he did. He knew the cameras would be flashing every time he did that. If he didn't solicit or want the attention, he'd have stopped doing it.

And please don't give me the "He's passionate about his faith" excuse. I'm quite sure there are many players passionate about their faith. You don't see them exploiting it for headlines. Kurt Warner was extremely passionate, but he didn't drop to his knee at every first down.

As much as they throw the ball in the CFL ,how would that be a better fit for him?

i have serious doubts about that. He showed very little aptitude for catching/receiving instincts. Didn't see anything that showed he could be a good blocker. we already know he's not a very good passer. He's a tough runner, but that doesn't add up to anything close to Crash IMO.

B/c you also can do more college like things there, options, zone reads, etc, and the CFL is much more of a big play league then the NFL's sort of methodical approach.

And BC and Rudy Carpenter parted ways, there is a slot out there for him perhaps.

Case in point: Colin Kaepernick. He is essentially Tim Tebow if Tim Tebow had a slightly thinner frame, and was actually a good QB.
Both are devout Christians, and only one is insanely overhyped.

In all fairness to tebow the media ate that **** up as did a good portion of america. Not to mention all the hype that came out of gator land for him. The guy won the heisman for **** sakes as a qb. I think now a lot of the hype comes from not just people loving him but people hating him as well.
