    Jets re-signed CB Hank Poteat.
They just can't quit him. Since joining the Jets two seasons ago, Poteat has fifteen starts, with nine of them coming last season. He has a legitimate shot at starting opposite Darrelle Revis next season.

Long overdue. Poteat's been a solid dependable corner for them and emerged as a pretty decent #2 CB for them. I'd take him over Goodman any day.

I agree. Same here. He's been a decent corner for as long as I can remember.

It was a good sign. He is not a deal breaker but a solid backup.

Hank played very well down the stretch last season, starting the final 8 games, despite a poorus pass rush. I think his resigning signifies that the Jets are going to lose out on Ty Law to the Patriots, in time. I like Hank and think he can start and be even more effective on the 2008 defense if he can beat out Miller, Lowery, Coleman, Barrett and Woolfork. Thats going to be some competition for the #2 job to play alongside Revis & Rhodes in the secondary.

Hey whats going on with Justin Miller? I haven't heard anything about him ever since he had that off season incident last year.

    Well...

According to Mangini he was finally coming into his own on the defensive side of the ball during Training Camp last season but we never got to see if that was true or not because in Week 2 at Baltimore he blew out his MCL and ACL if I remember correctly. He is rehabbing and should be ready to for the 2008 season and will be competiting for the #2 Cornerback job and will team up with Mr.Washington on Kickoff Returns to form the deadliest return duo in the NFL.
