I'm surprised they didn't draft somebody to help them sack the quarterback more. They may be expecting a lot from JT. He'll make some plays but I would think you'd want some depth behind a 36 year old. Or am I missing something? I think bolstering the RB corps was smart, as I was thinking that could end up dropping off from last year if they went with what they had prior to the draft.
Drafting a CB indirectly improves the pass rush. Rex loves putting his CB's on an island, and blitzing the **** out of the QB with the rest of the guys. Now that this team has 3 good cover corners, Rex can be much more liberal in sending guys in zone blitzes. JT should help, even if only for a year. He'll be in rotation with Calvin Pace and Bryan Thomas. My thought is that they will draft a pass rusher in the first or second round next year after JT is cut. I like what they did w/ the RB corps as well. Conner is a nice pick at fullback.
