So let me get this straight: We suck because Ireland has given us no talent, but that no talent has no bearing on Philbin, because he's not good at offense. But Green Bay's offense is worse than it was because of injuries which means they have less talent on the field then they did. That about sum up you stance?
My view in regards to the lack of overall talent on the roster has been stated numerous times. I just don't see that having Philbin and Sherman has been an upgrade, since the same basic talent the Dolphins had last year is averaging less points per game this year. You can not claim that it is because they are playing a rookie QB, because Moore is still on the roster and Philbin and Sherman made the decision that Tannehill was the better QB. I certainly think the Dolphins are one of the least talented offenses in the NFL, but they were one of the least talented offenses last year and they scored more points through 14 games in 2011 than they have so far this year. I would think that Philbin should be able to get more out of these offensive players than Sparano was, if he is the offensive guru you seem to think he is. As far as the Packers are concerned. They have had far more injuries on offense this year. Therefore this has been the reason they have struggled on offense. I don't think losing Philbin has anything to do with their struggles on offense.
Sparano was here for years, it shouldn't be a surprise to hear a rookie hc and rookie QB with near-zero offensive talent have less PPG in THEIR FIRST YEAR (which isnt done) than the previous administration that was here for a WHILE, especially after a big coaching staff sweep. they had several years to pan their garbage out, and nothing got better, but still the difference in PPG between team sparano and team now is negligible because of the 'time' both staffs were here. If you want to try to make that comparison you'd give it a minimum of 2 years, maybe even 3 to be credible. Thats just pure nonsense. It also amazes me you seem to be under some false pretense that Philbin is calling every play or something?...... also if you don't think players and staff miss Philbin and his game planning/adjustments in GB, you need to do more reading. The fact that you are basing GBs performance 100% solely on injuries is comical at BEST. No one is calling him a Guru, but I'm not calling him NOT a Guru because its T O O E A R L Y for that bs.
Not to mention the play book and schemes were overhauled. But hey, whos counting? we should fire everyone again. Like, right now.
