There has been lots of outside talk about possible extensions for Ronnie Brown, Matt Roth and Anthony Fasano, all of whom either have expiring contracts after this year or, in Brown's case, an opt-out clause. Ireland downplayed that.
"Nothing's happening right now," he said. " the question, 'Are you looking into it?' I said, 'Yeah, we're looking into it.' But nothing is happening right now."

Tone_EsubscriberWell, this topic is killing me. I've been waiting to be assured that we will extend Brown's contract for a while now.
I don't think it is a matter of production, I think the Brass wants to see if he can put together two injury free seasons.
I hope we can retain Ronnie!!!!!

Damn straight, I honestly think we need to lock him up now. I expect Ronnie to have a huge season, and that huge season will mean his value will increase, signing him now we could save 5-7 million on his contract, maybe more because there are crazies out there like Washington who overpay.

Not sure about that Dj, Tuna and Sparano and Ireland have a good eye for players at Te, and we have some tough decisions to make, could be head to head, Ronnie v Fasano, we may go with Nalbone or Bronson or Haynos.
Put it this way, if they can make something out of David Martin, they know what they are doing.

Xeticusforum_veteranRonnie will be extended before FA if he plays well this year. Otherwise they might try to trade him or cut him and grab a replacement. I think he'll be extended. No clue on if they extend Ricky though.
